2 Building Family We love building God s family and growing together here at Eastgate. This booklet outlines some ways you can get involved. BUILDING BIG PEOPLE

3 CONNECTION GROUPS Whether you ve been at Eastgate for a long time or you re new to the environment, connection groups are a great way to meet new people. There s a wide range of groups that meet in different areas and do various activities, so you may be surprised at what you can join in with! HOW DO I JOIN? Once you ve had a look through, there s three easy way to join groups: Login to My ChurchSuite and go to My Groups Visit eastgate.org.uk/connectiongroups Fill out the paper form inside this booklet and return it to the welcome area on a Sunday. All groups are free to join, please sign up by 11th January. WHAT HAPPENS NEXT? Once you ve joined a group, the leader will contact you with exact times, dates and locations. Some groups have a limit on how many people can join, so it s best to sign up early to avoid disappointment.

4 Mondays LADIES GROUP Led by Meg Henderson A social time of getting together with worship, prayer and sharing communion. Holy Spirit led and facilitated by a different member each week - no two weeks are the same! WEEKLY STREET ENCOUNTERS Led by Gary Taylor Being a part of this amazing group will grow your faith and inspire you to follow God s lead. We meet at Creams Cafe for drinks/desserts then go out into the local area, bringing words of knowledge and talking to people on the streets. No experience needed FORTNIGHTLY GRAVESEND RUAH Led by Elaine Patience & Gaelle Gressier The aim of this group is to follow Holy Spirit s lead in spontaneous, creative worship and prayer. Ruah is the Hebrew word for breath or spirit. We want to soak in Him and give Him space to speak and move. All are welcome, bring instruments, yourselves and His presence WEEKLY

5 LOVING OUR KIDS ON PURPOSE Led by Dave & Kate Foggon How do you raise up your children to be powerful, love-filled, kingdom-minded followers of Jesus? By parenting them through connection. Join us on this journey of discovery and application through Danny Silk s teaching and examples. Suitable for those completely new to the subject as well as those looking for a refresher WEEKLY KINGS HILL CROYDON GROUP Led by Richard Carey A caring group for Eastgate attendees who live in Croydon. Each week is different. We enjoy times of worship, communion, prayer and love to chill out in God s presence FORTNIGHTLY CROYDON FAQ S Why are there different colours for groups? Groups that run every term are marked in green. If you ve signed up to one of these groups previously, there s no need to re-join. Short term groups are marked in purple. These groups run for one term, so they re perfect if you want to do something different each term.
