1 SMALL GROUPS JANUARY TO APRIL 2019 CONNECT - LIFE - EQUIP
2 December 2018 To all Church members and friends, Whether you are new to the Weald Community Church or have called it home for many years, one of the most important things to us is that people find a place of belonging and get built into the community of the church and the family of God. We are passionate about helping each other deepen our walk with God and relationships with one another. We believe that discipleship happens most effectively in the context of community and therefore want to encourage everyone who calls the Weald Community Church their home to belong to a Small Group. The Small Groups Programme January April 2019 is here. Please take some time to browse through and see which group(s) you would like to be part of. These are a great place to make new friendships, to build relationships that are essential to help us grow as followers of Jesus and to have fun together. These groups are also a great opportunity to get involved in new things with new people. Please complete the form at the back to hand in by Sunday 6 th January at the latest. All you need to do is sign up and you will then be contacted after 7 th January about dates and venues by Group Leaders. There is a Frequently Asked Questions page at the back but if you have any other queries, do contact us. With love and blessings Adamo and Ed The Weald Community Church The Smithy Bolney Road Cowfold West Sussex RH13 8AA tel Facebook: Weald Community Church Cowfold

11 When are the groups starting? Most groups will start during the week beginning 14th January How many weeks are groups meeting for? Groups will typically be meeting for approx weeks through January to April. See group information for further details. Can I join more than one group? Yes, but we would like to encourage attending one group regularly rather than lots of groups occasionally. This will give you the chance to get involved in all your small group has to offer. What am I signing up to? Group sign up is for one term at a time. Groups will work best when everyone in them commits to attending each group meeting if possible. At the end of the term you can choose to sign up again (if the group is continuing) or join another group. How can I sign up? There's a form at the back of this booklet. Fill in both sides and hand it to Carla or Becky OR either of them directly with your choices (see form for addresses). Please return choices to us by Sunday 6th January 12.30pm at the latest. What happens after I've signed up? Whoever is leading the group will be in touch to welcome you and confirm details. Is there anything in Half Term week? Most groups will be taking a break over the half-term week. There's space here if you wanted to organise a get-together? When are the Church prayer times together? We meet for a whole church time of prayer on the second Sunday of every month, in the Smithy, at 8pm. There is also a fortnightly women's prayer group on a Thursday morning AND a men's prayer meeting every Friday morning in the Smithy at 6am-7am. All welcome to attend these. I have an idea for a group I would like to run in the future, is that ok? Yes, we're always interested in possible new groups and would love to hear your idea. What if I have more questions?? Speak to Adamo, Carla, Ed, Becky, Morné or Ian for more information.
