2 I AM Kindness and mercy are what the enslaved people of Israel needed, and they came in the form of deliverance. They came through a leader, Moses, who was once plucked from the Nile River and was now herding his father-in-law s sheep in the land of Goshen. The bush that burned but was not consumed shows us that God is inexhaustible mystery. Moses awe and deference are mixed with a touching conversational tone as he seeks to learn God s name. And God sweetly responds. The somewhat abstract I AM distinguishes the God of Abraham and Isaac and Jacob from the minor gods in the territory who are not. They are helpless, powerless, and useless. INNS (Interfaith Network Nightly Shelter) The INNS Ministry serves the homeless on the 1st and 2nd weekends of the month. Our monthly collection is on the first weekend of the month. A Steubenville Youth Conference is primarily an invitation to spiritual growth. For some, this means entering into a personal relationship with God for the first time. For others, this means a deeper and more mature acceptance of the gospel and the Church and a greater zeal to be a witness for Christ. With a theme of I Thirst, the conference weekend includes dynamic speakers on a variety of relevant teen topics, lively music, Eucharistic Adoration, Mass and opportunity for reconciliation. Kenosha Volunteers Needed This is a huge undertaking. Volunteers are needed for a variety of areas: greeters, hospitality and registration, to name a few. All volunteers are asked to be trained in Safeguarding All of God s Family. For a complete listing of available training sessions, you can go to and visit the Safeguarding section in the lower right hand corner. Catholic Woman s Club Catholic Woman s Club will meet, Monday, March 14 th, with Mass at 11 am at Holy Rosary Church. Lunch will follow at noon catered and served by Chef David Perez. Cost is $15. Divine Mercy Ladies Auxiliary to the Knights of Columbus Divine Mercy Council We are a newly formed women's organization striving to promote spiritual and social well being of families. We will provide opportunities to form friendships and serve Christ by supporting our church, community, and each other. A Day of Healing for Separated & Divorced St. Jerome parish in Oconomowoc (995 S. Silver Lake St.) is presenting Act of Mercy for March...Forgive Offenses Willingly and Bear Wrongs Patiently. It is a day of healing for separated, divorced or those preparing to be. It is presented by Marianne Skrobiak, M.S., M.A., LPC s psychotherapist who has been in the counseling field for 21 years. She is the author of Return to Life after her own long-term marriage in the Catholic faith ended in divorce. Cost is $30, includes continental breakfast, lunch and materials. Easter Memorials Please consider a memorial or honorary donation for flowers to decorate our worship space for the Easter season. Many of the flowers will remain in our sanctuary for the First Communion Masses during the ensuing weeks. The names of your loved ones will be printed in the bulletin at Easter. The requested donation for each plant is $10. Please complete this information request and place this form in an envelope with your offering. You may place it in the offertory collection or send it to the Parish Office. Orders must be received in the office by March 15 for the names to appear in the bulletin on Easter.
