2 Bob Iabichella Dear Brothers, Let s not forget the Officer s installation on August 16, 2013; installation will start at 6 pm. It would be nice to see some of you there. Brother Leon will be cooking a fine meal to eat after the installation. All officers to be installed please wear coat and tie. The recruitment quota for this year is 30 and it will greatly depend on all members of this council to bring in at least one new brother for us to meet and exceed that quota. I know as a Council we can do it. Do you know at least one person who would be a good candidate; work with them to encourage them to join. The Council will help by talking to people at the Parish BBQ which is August 3rd. We are planning a Family Night on August 9 th. I am hoping we can get enough Brothers and their families to attend this fun night. We are also looking to hold an Ice Cream Social either the 4th Thursday or last Friday of September. If you are a 3rd Degree Knight it is not late to be thinking about joining the 4th Degree. The ceremony will be held in Oxnard. See a 4th Degree member for an application and details. Hope to see you at the next meeting. Invite a Brother who has not been to a meeting lately to come and join us. During these hot summer months we must continue serving the Lord and being faithful to our commitment to attend Mass and receive holy Communion. Jesus left us the holy sacrifice to nourish and sustain us on our journey of faith. May everything we do reflect our gratitude to God for His many blessings. Fr. 9 Lancaster Council #2455 Will be conducting a 1st and 2nd Degree Ceremony on Thursday, the 22nd of August. Candidates should Arrive at 6:00pm, members at 6:30pm. The ceremony will begin at 7:00pm. All Brothers are encouraged to attend this event to show support for our newest members. 9
