5 This Week s Highlights SHEPHERDING TEAM #8 IS ON CALL THIS WEEK, April 17 th through the 23 rd. Contact Joyce Saunderson at Youth Ministries Outreach Project Little Dresses for Africa is asking for donations of new pillow cases so that we can begin sewing dresses starting May 1 st. Bins will be placed in the West Narthex for donations. Today, April 17 th! -New Members information Session 10:05 a.m. in the Chapel (this session is designed for those who are on the fence about joining, interested in joining, as well as explaining the importance and value of becoming a member of Mount Zion). Once Upon A time The 2016 Mother Daughter Banquet is May 7 th from 6-8pm. Our theme this year is Princesses. We are inviting all women to join us for fun, food, and fellowship. It means to have greater faith, face challenges, and live a power-filled life. Groups will meet on Sundays and Mondays to read the story in Matthew 14 and learn how to get out of the boat. June 11, Lunch Cruise Out of the Inner Harbor of Baltimore. Concluding our Get Out of the Boat study, a cruise out of the harbor and into the Bay with lunch and good music. Only $55 per person if we have a large enough group! $70 otherwise. 6 We Serve God and God s People THROUGH OUR PRAYERS: As a shepherd cares for the sheep, so also will Christ watch over his followers. Lord, in Your mercy, hear our prayers. We pray for the church, for Bishop Marcus Matthews, District Superintendent J.W. Park, Pastor Joan, our staff, and for all in our congregation. May those who lead the nations of the world be given wisdom. Especially we pray for our world leaders. We also pray for our nation: especially for President Obama, the House and Senate leaders; and our local county and state leaders. We pray for the people of Flint, Michigan. Prayers for the people of Louisiana as they sustain the rain and floods, the people of Japan affected by the earthquake on Thursday. We pray for our community and for all who live and work in this area. We pray for our families and friends. May we be a light of hope to all we meet. Especially we pray for...
