5 This Week s Highlights SHEPHERDING TEAM #6 IS ON CALL THIS WEEK, June 5 th through the 11 th. Contact Crystal Zimmerman at Socks for Mt Zion Mission Day We are now collecting donations of socks by the thousands to give to those we meet on our Mt Zion Mission Day on Saturday, July 23. On that day, we will form three teams to travel to locations in West Baltimore, Jessup, and D.C. to greet and bring help to persons we meet there. More information on that Mt. Zion Mission Day will soon be coming out. Today, June 5 th, 1:00: Rev. Don Hohne, Chaplain, Gilchrist Hospice will be sharing information for our Stephen Ministers. The congregation is invited to attend to gain valuable insight into hospice care and our local facility. Little Dresses for Africa For all those with dresses!!! We will be anointing and praying over then next Sunday June 12th please have all dresses in by Friday June 10th to display June 11, Lunch Cruise Out of the Inner Harbor of Baltimore. Concluding our Get Out of the Boat study, a cruise out of the harbor and into the Bay with lunch and good music. Only $55 per person if we have a large enough group! $70 otherwise. Please check the info stub if interested. In celebration of Father s Day, we are putting together a brief video on what makes fathers special. On Sunday, June 12, between and after the Services, we invite people of any age to come to the Conference Room next to the Church Office and share your comments on this with our camera. Two questions to respond to What makes your father special? and/or What is the best advice your father gave you? Kayak Regatta Sunday, June 12 We now have more kayakers then we have kayaks!!! If you have a kayak we can borrow for our trip down the branch of the Patuxent River, please contact Pastor David (pastordavidcr@verizon.net). Everyone is invited to join us on the water! Parents and Youth enrolling in the 2016/17 confirmation class are invited on Sunday June 12th 12:30p.m to discuss the upcoming fall confirmation class schedule, pre-confirmation retreat, tours, Rock 2017, Missions Project, post retreat and have any other questions answered. Save the Date! Saturday, July 23 We are inviting the entire congregation to BE THE CHURCH IN MISSION as we will form three teams, of at least 25 persons each, to travel to locations in West Baltimore, Jessup, and Washington, D.C. to greet and bring help to persons we meet there.

We pray for the church, for Bishop Marcus Matthews, District Superintendent J.W. Park, Pastor Joan, our staff, and for all in our congregation. May those who lead the nations of the world be given wisdom. Especially we pray for our world leaders. We also pray for our nation: especially for President Obama, the House and Senate leaders; and our local county and state leaders. Pray for our children s educators as they put an end to this school. We pray for our community and for all who live and work in this area. We pray for our families and friends. May we be a light of hope to all we meet. Especially we pray for...
