We have heard it said that a picture is worth a thousand words. Since 2014, we have been telling our story in a photo online journal The Journey. We have in our online publication, a monthly pictorial news record, endeavored to inform, make known, and uplift the fruits of Episcopalians in and around St. Mary. photo news online is the way we tell and share our story the story of God working in and through our lives. We encourage all St. Mary s members, attendees and friends everywhere to submit their digital record of local events, outreach activities and evangelism efforts. Let us spread the good news. Let us testify. Remember, God said go and tell the story.

5 Page 5 December 18, 2016 John was Love A Thanksgiving for the Life and Ministry of The Reverend John Longo was celebrated Sunday December 18th. Rev. Longo was a past rector who was loved by many. His wife Barbara Longo led the celebration which Larke, Bill and Jackie Mok, Laurie Lee and others shared memories of a beloved priest who would have celebrated his 79th birthday if he had not gone to be with our Lord. Mrs. Barbara Longo was present with her daughter Deidre Longo, and a friend of the family Bob Whiteford. See left photo:

8 Page 8 Gail Hirozawa made a beautiful kadomatsu to present to St. Mary. Chon and Ai display a kadomatsu they made. Chon Yang, Ai Vang, Faith Blanchett, Gail Hirozawa, Rev s Martha and David Blanchett assisted the youth at Good Samaritan Episcopal Church with their annual kadomatsu making fund raiser. Bamboo was cut down in the bamboo forest, loaded on trucks and transported to St. Luke s where they were cleaned cut some more, and assembled into a product called Kadomatsu.
