Each month, one Bible story is featured, with a different weekly rotation of the story, using music, art, games, drama, cooking, video, or serving, etc. to experience the story more deeply. Students are using Sparkhouse s Echo series, a Bible overview for youth using storytelling, creative reflection, and dialogue. Through this story-based approach, students find meaning and identity in the biblical narrative. We use The Present Word. This winter we will study an exploration all about the love of God. Each lesson stands alone, so join us any week to participate as you d like. This class has begun an 11-week study of Days of Awe and Wonder: How to Be a Christian in the Twenty-first Century by Marcus Borg. This new drop-in group led by Jenny Trussell will be discussing a variety of different topics each week, so grab a cup of coffee and join us. No studying involved!

8 You are invited to attend our new Chair Yoga classes! Classes will be taught by certified yoga instructor Jenny Trussell in Room A from 10:15-10:45 on Monday mornings starting February 4. This class is perfect for beginners and those with limited mobility and balance concerns. Please dress in comfortable clothing and appropriate footwear. This class is open to FPC members and the community at no cost. Sorry, childcare is not available. Rockers: Where fun, food and fellowship are enjoyed by those over 50! Evening Rockers will meet on Saturday, February 9 at 6:00 at the Chop House in Franklin Square. Dessert afterwards at the Rice home. Daytime Rockers will gather at Connor s in Turkey Creek on Thursday, February 21 at 11:30 Sign-up sheets and contact information are on the narthex table. It s FOODIES time again! This is a fun fellowship event in small groups of about 8 people each. Participants bring a savory dish to share (recipes are provided) to a host house for a great dinner. 9 Feed the Homeless: Volunteers are needed to serve lunch on Tuesday, February 26 at Volunteer Ministry Center. Volunteers will meet in the church parking lot at 10:15 am to carpool downtown and return by 1:00 pm. Jean Peretz is coordinating the event and can answer your questions. The volunteer sign-up sheet is in the narthex. SAVE THE DATE: Take the AARP Smart Driver Course at the church on Saturday, March 2 from to 5:00 Cars have changed. So have traffic rules, driving conditions, and the roads you travel every day. Even the most experienced drivers can benefit from brushing up on their driving skills. The classroom course costs $15 for AARP members and $20 for non-members. Register now by calling Paul Johnson at
