2 Redruth Christmas Festival Saturday 24th November Redruth Christmas Market From 12noon to 5pm In Market Strand and Market Hall Christmas Procession & Lights Switch On From 5pm Starting at the bottom of Fore Street As excitement mounts for the start of the procession, the crowds will be entertained by Freddy Zapp from BBC Radio Cornwall. The procession will lead up to the very top of town turning left into Shoot Row, following through Flower Pot Chapel Car Park and back out onto Fore Street. It will then continue down to The Miner s Statue, where we will have our LIVE countdown of this year's Christmas Lights switch on. As the Procession passes back down through the town, everyone will be invited to meet Father Christmas underneath The Miner s Statue where he will be waiting to greet you.

3 REDRUTH WASSAIL 6pm at the Regal Cinema Saturday 24th November An evening of traditional music and Cornish carols Join us for the fourth annual Redruth Wassail to be performed in the town for over 100 years! The Wassail starts from 6pm outside the Regal Cinema, then proceeding onto various locations around the town finishing at St Rumon s Club for music, singing and merriment. (Bring your own food to share) All welcome.

4 FREE Christmas Grotto Supported by Redruth Town Council Opening on Saturday 1st December at 10am NEW Location at Redruth Public Library, Clinton Road. Opening Hours Saturday 1st, 8th, 15th & 22nd December Come and meet Father Christmas himself in his cosy reading corner. This year he will be visiting Redruth again with his elves to meet you all at a NEW location. Friday 14th December Redruth Christmas Market - In Market Hall From 3pm - Car parking free from 4pm in all Cornwall Council car parks* Saturday 15th December Redruth Christmas Market - In Market Hall From AND FREE ALL DAY CAR-PARKING IN CORNWALL COUNCIL CAR PARKS* *New Cut Car Park, TR15 1AF; Flowerpot Chapel Car Park, TR15 2AE & West End Car Park, TR15 2TS Please note: This does not include Fairmeadow Car Park on Station Hill as this is privately owned. A performance by the Ingleheart Choir at Clock Tower, Fore Street The local community choir with angelic harmonising voices will be returning again to sing a variety of Cornish carols, as everyone queues to meet Father Christmas. Saturday 1st December 12noon Treleigh Christmas Coffee Morning at St Stephen's Church Hall, Treleigh Christmas sale and coffee morning Official opening of Father Christmas Grotto in Redruth Library, Clinton Road Mayor of Redruth, will announce the official opening of Father Christmas' grotto at 10am. Saturday 22nd December 9.30pm FREE Christmas Grotto at Redruth Library, Clinton Road (See page 2) Xmas with Queen "The Good Old Fashioned Lover Boys" at St Rumon's Club, Penryn Street Sunday 23rd December 10.30am pm 6.30pm Open House at The Engine House Church Instead of our usual Sunday service, we will be having an open house, drop in for coffee, teas and mulled wine. The Prayer room will be open. Please note: The Prayer room is open daily (6am -7.30am) throughout the whole Christmas season. Favourite Carols Evening at Redruth Baptist Church, Penryn Street Come along and choose a carol to sing. Christmas Eve - Monday 24th December 3pm 4pm 4pm - 9pm 6pm Crib Service at St Stephen s Church, Treleigh Christmas with the Children at St Andrew's Church, Clinton Road Join us for 45 minutes of festive fun for all the family. Christmas Day - Tuesday 25th December 9am - 10am 9.30am - 12noon 10am 10am Christmas Day Service at The Engine House Church We will be opening our doors for a special Christmas Day service. Everyone is welcome and children are encouraged to bring along a present to show everyone. FREE Community Christmas Breakfast at Gweal-an-Top, School Lane Come and enjoy a FREE fry up, a cuppa with friendly faces and festive music on Christmas Day.
