2 Mission: community of believers responding to the Gospel of Jesus hrist through faith, worship and action. Vision: That hrist might have first place in everything. (ol. 1:18) The Why s of how passing on the faith is important! Faith is formed by the power of the Holy Spirit through personal, trusted relationship - often in our homes, youth groups, and congregation. The church is a living partnership between the ministry of the congregation and the ministry of home. Where hrist is present in faith, the home is church too. Faith is caught more than it is taught. If we want hristian hildren and youth, we need hristian adults and parents. On the fiftieth day of Easter we celebrate the Holy Spirit as the power of God among us that heals, forgives, inspires, and unites. In the reading from cts, images of wind and fire describe the Spirit poured out on disciples of all nations. In John's gospel the risen hrist breathes the Spirit on his followers on Easter evening. Due to the high number of clients receiving food from us each month, about 8 volunteers are needed every day for the food pantry to operate. s a volunteer, the tasks you would do include filling out applications and shopping through the pantry with clients. Located at 206 N Fisher St in downtown Burlington, the food pantry operates from 3:00-5:00pm Monday through Friday.
