2 Sunday, February 1, 2015 Fourth Sunday after Epiphany Setting One 8:15 & 10:30 (ELW) INTRODUTION In Deuteronomy God promises to raise up a prophet like Moses, who will speak for God; in Psalm 111 God shows the people the power of God's works. For the church these are ways of pointing to the unique authority people sensed in Jesus' actions and words. We encounter that authority in God's word, around which we gather, the word that trumps any lesser spirit that would claim power over us, freeing us to follow Jesus. If you plan on attending this OWLS event please call Barbara Lilienthal at or the church office at aring Ministry News: Have you or your loved one been given a diagnosis of.early stage memory loss? Twin Lakes is starting a support group for people l.iving with early stage memory loss beginning on February 11, The group is open to the public. There is often a misconception that I m not that bad off yet. In fact, this support group is targeted for people who are still doing many of the activities they have always done. In the privacy of the groups, people will have the opportunity to talk about strategies for living with memory loss as they provide mutual support to each other. For more information, please call Debbi Huntoon at LEAF Meals for 2015 I know you have heard many times that the Sunday night meal may be the only home cooked meal the LEAF students get in a week. You might say, so what, but think about that for a minute. How many home cooked meals do you enjoy each week? To be there with them and see how much they appreciate the meal is a blessing. As a reminder, we share the meal schedule with Holy omforter. Macedonia is responsible for Sunday, 2/15, 3/1, 3/15, 4/19, and 5/3. They worship at 4:30 in the Sacred Space in the Numen-Lumen Pavilion (aka The Truitt enter). The meal needs to be delivered around 4:00 if you want help with delivery. If you plan to take the food in yourself and will stay to eat, you need to be ready by 5:15. As a reminder, Numen-Lumen is a multi-faith center, so no pork or shell fish is allowed in the building.
