As witnesses of hrist s victory on the cross, and in the sure and certain hope of the resurrection, let us confess our sins in the presence of God and one another. Silence for reflection and self-examination. Living God, in the light of hrist s resurrection, we rejoice to see our Lord Jesus, by whose wounds we have been healed. Trusting in your promise of mercy, we confess our sins, the things we have done, and the things we have left undone. Forgive our quickness to turn from you and our slowness of heart to repent. Renew us and guide us in the way of truth and light through Jesus hrist our Lord. In great mercy, God has given us a new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus hrist. 6 THE NIENE REED A Let us confess our faith with the words of the Nicene reed. We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is, seen and unseen. We believe in one Lord, Jesus hrist, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, of one Being with the Father. Through him all things were made. For us and for our salvation he came down from heaven; by the power of the Holy Spirit he became incarnate from the virgin Mary, and was made man. For our sake he was crucified under ontius ilate; he suffered death and was buried. On the third day he rose again in accordance with the Scriptures; he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son. With the Father and the Son he is worshiped and glorified. He has spoken through the prophets. We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic hurch. We acknowledge one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. ABOUT HOLY OMMUNION - We believe and teach that in the Sacrament of Holy ommunion we receive, with the bread and the wine, the true body and blood of our Lord Jesus hrist. This Sacrament is the means by which God extends His grace, the forgiveness of sins, life, and Salvation. All who are baptized are welcome to receive the Sacrament. If you are unable to come forward, but would like to receive Holy ommunion, please alert one of the ushers and the pastor will bring it to you. hildren who have not received First ommunion instruction, or do not received Holy ommunion in their home church may come forward and receive a blessing. INVITE YOUR ONE - The evidence is overwhelming; most people who do not attend a church say it is because no one has ever invited them. Those who have left the church for one reason or another say the same thing; No one has ever invited us back. Let s fill our pews by sharing the gospel and by sharing our church with others. We will resume our regular schedule on Wednesday evening, April 26 th. BIBLE STUDY - Evening Bible study is moving to a new night. Beginning on April 27 th, evening Bible study will move to Thursday evenings at 7:00 p.m. ome join members of your church family as we open God s Word and learn more of how God calls his people into relationship with him. Our topic of study will be centered upon the Use of the Means of Grace. We hope to see you there.
