2 From Our Pastor, Fr. Jim... Get in DAS ZONE at Oktoberfest Our Oktoberfest provides a great way for everyone in the community to join together for a night of fun and fellowship. We pride ourselves in offering a family-friendly Oktoberfest featuring music, games, food and plenty to do for people of all ages. But there s always room for improvement! So this year we re adding a fun new area designed for teens, college-age people and young adults. We call it DAS ZONE! We invite all young people including those away at college and those who have moved to St. Louis or elsewhere to put it in your calendar and on your social media to meet your friends at DAS ZONE at St. Clare s Oktoberfest on Saturday, September 29 in downtown O Fallon. DAS ZONE will be the place to hang out with friends while you play 9 Square in the Air, Giant Jenga or Corn Hole all for free! And there s another big addition for our young people and us old folks as well. Some of our youth group members told us how much they enjoy taking on Escape Rooms. So when we learned that the Roaming Riddle Mobile Escape Room opened right here in O Fallon, we decided to team up with this new business to bring a 20-minute version of the Escape Room game to Oktoberfest. This incredible highquality Escape Room will provide challenging fun for teams of eight players at a really reasonable entry fee of just $10 per person. So get some friends together and reserve a playing time on our website at We ll see if you have what it takes to figure out the puzzles and escape the room before the clock runs out! Remember, there is still time for you, your family, friends and coworkers to make a donation and get Big Otto raffle tickets after Mass, online or at the parish office. It s a very good chance to win big -- $10,000 because only 250 tickets will be sold for $100 each. Plus, the $10 Little Otto tickets give you five chances to win $100!
