4 CADETS: The Cadets will be meeting at the Fire Hall in Port Lambton tomorrow night, October 19 th. The Cadets from Wallaceburg will be meeting at the church first. Parents please check your s for details of times and meeting places. GEMS COUNSELLORS NEEDED: Our GEMS Ministry has 34 girls this year. A lot of new girls from our community have joined. Praise God. With this many girls they are in need of help. Please prayerfully consider if you are able to help out on Thursday nights from 7 9pm. You will be blessed. Talk to Nicolina for more information and to volunteer. Thank-you!! YOUNG PEOPLES: Just a reminder that we will not be meeting this Tuesday but instead will meet at the church on Friday night at 6:30 to go to the corn maze in Thamesville. Also a reminder of our challenge to read the book of Esther before our next regular meeting!! There is a youth service coming up in Aylmer on Sunday, October 25th, if you're interested in going please let us know. See you Friday!! YOUTH SERVICE: EVERYONE is invited to join us for a classis-wide Youth Service in Aylmer CRC next Sunday, October 25 at 5:00pm. Our speaker, Rev. Dirk Miedema, will be addressing us on the theme Have Fun! Afterwards join us for homemade soup, buns, fruit and refreshments. Hope to see you all there. Profession of Faith Class: A Profession of Faith/Membership class will be starting in the fall. Anyone interested in taking this class both young and old please speak to Pastor Josh. That act is often cited as the beginning of the Protestant Reformation from which many denominations have their roots. You are invited to attend a multi-denominational worship service celebrating God s gracious preservation of His church. Rev. Peter Hogeterp will give a message titled Who is the Real Enemy? based on Ephesians 6:12. The service will be held at Grace Christian Reformed Church (255 Tweedsmuir Ave. W., Chatham) on Sunday, October 25 th at 6:30 p.m. Babysitting is provided. 6 Council News ~ October 13, Council approved the Teen Challenge Choir to come and lead our service on January 31st, Council approved our evening service on October 25th to be cancelled so we have the opportunity to attend the Combined Reformation Service at Chatham Grace CRC. 3. We will be hosting the Annual Community Christmas Carol Service on December 8th followed by a dessert social after the program. 4. Council approved the Deacons to present a proposal to the congregation with information on supporting a Refugee Family. The proposal and information will be presented to the congregation soon. 5. Lucas Tuininga will be baptized on November 22nd. Pastor Josh s dad will be leading the service. 6. Pastor Josh and April have been picked to go on a Pastor s Study Trip to Egypt, Jordan, and Israel from May 1 to 16, Council approved Pastor Josh to use this trip as his educational weeks for next year. 7.
