6 TODAY AT ELMHURST CRC We continue our Summer of Love series based on I Corinthians 13 with Paul's declaration that "love is not easily angered". We all experience rejection and rejection is often the instigator of anger. Sometimes it even seems that God has rejected us. Others may reject us, but God continually seeks us out. "Our life is hidden with Christ in God." Col. 3:3 NEXT WEEK AT ELMHURST CRC "Love keeps no record of wrongs." Living life means we are going to be "wronged" by someone. It could be someone close to us or it could be a stranger. We are going to experience hurt. How do we respond to hurt? God empowers us to respond uniquely. ANNOUNCEMENTS Prayer Group Summer Schedule - On Saturday mornings the prayer group will meet from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the memorial site at Wilder Park in Elmhurst through the summer months. We will continue to meet on Wednesday evenings at church in the upper level Prayer Room from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. All are welcome to join us! Time to start thinking about fall! Pathfinders for 1st-3rd grade boys and Cadets for 4th-8th grade boys starts on September 17. GEMS for 1st-8th grade girls starts on September 24. All three ministries meet on Wednesday nights from 6:15 until 7:45. You can get more information and register online at The next Little Lambs & Friends Park Play Date is scheduled for Wednesday, August 13, from 9-11 a.m. at Wilder Park. It s a great time to reconnect with Lambs friends and to meet future Lambs families! The Elim Women s Service League invites you to share your giftedness to support Elim Christian Services.
