FAMILY CIRCLE: Our Christian condolences are extended to Everet and Irene Kraayenbrink with the sudden loss of their dear grandson Andrew Kraayenbrink loved son of Alvin Kraayenbrink. May God s loving and comforting arms uphold and comfort you all during this difficult time. We give thanks that Clarence Dykhouse was able to return home on Friday. Please continue to keep Clarence in your prayers. Pray for all our seniors, those who suffer illnesses, and those who are lonely or shut-in. 4 WEDDING BANNS: Casey Gerrit DePooter and Megan Michelle Van Gelder have signified their desire to be married on Saturday, November 5, The wedding will take place on that date at 6:00 pm at the Wallaceburg Christian Reformed Church. EVENING SERVICE: Our evening service is cancelled tonight so we have the opportunity to attend the Annual Combined Reformation Day Service at Grace Christian Reformed Church. YOUNG PEOPLES: We will be meeting on Tuesday, November 1st at 7 pm at the church. We invite and encourage all those who are in grade 9 and higher to attend. See you Tuesday!! WORSHIP COMMITTEE: The worship committee is looking for two people to join our ranks. As a committee we study God's Word, plan and evaluate worship services and we have fun doing it! If you have questions or would like to be a part of it, let Pastor Josh know. REFORMATION DAY SERVICE: The Annual Combined Reformation Day Service is tonight Sunday, Oct. 30 at 6:30 pm at Grace Christian Reformed Church. Rev. John Moelker will be bringing the message and the worship band 'Keep A Lamp" will be providing music. Refreshments will follow the service. Dresden CRC is inviting and encouraging you to attend as together, we the church of Jesus Christ, praise the One who is our sure foundation! November Evening Collections: For the month of November, all evening service offerings will support the Wallaceburg Christian School. WORLD HUNGER SUNDAY: Our individual stories are only a small part of God s great story. Please continue to join with your families across North America in Changing the Story this week as you read about God s work in Bible times and around the world today. Join us next week for World Hunger Sunday. Offering for Christian Reformed Home Missions - Let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds let us encourage one another, and all the more as you see the day approaching. Hebrews 10:24-25 tells us the importance of engaging in mission together. As we celebrate Reformation Sunday, we will take an offering for Christian Reformed Home Missions. NEIGHBOURLINK ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING: NeighbourLink Chatham-Kent invites you to our Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, November 9 at Dresden Community Church located at Community Road, Dresden. A free dinner will be served at 6pm followed by a short business meeting at 7pm. There will be special music and the guest speaker for the evening will be Gil Clelland from Sanctuary London, a Christian ministry to the homeless and needy in London, Ontario. 5 Benefit Concert: Everyone is invited to a wonderful evening of song and instrumental music, which will be held in the Main Auditorium of the First Christian Reformed Church, corner Exmouth Street and Murphy Road in Sarnia. The concert will be on Saturday, November 5 th 2016 at 7:30 P.M. Participating choirs will be Sarnia's "Sursum Corda Christian male Choir",directed by Adrian Strybos and accompanied by Donna Taylor and the Crescendo Christian Male Choir,directed by Cheryl Batterink and accompanied by Jennifer Van Oorspronk. Tickets to this concert is $10.00 per person. Tickets are available from the members of Sursum Corda Choir and at the entrance of the Auditorium on the evening of the concert. This Benefit Concert is in support of Christeena Neinhuis who will be serving as a Missionary Teacher in South Sudan. Church Planting Task Force: Classis Chatham desires to start a fresh, purpose-oriented Home Missions Committee. Our Nominations Committee is seeking new members who have a vision and passion for home missions, in the area of church planting. Help Hurricane Matthew Survivors in Haiti - World Renew is responding to the urgent needs of Hurricane Matthew survivors in southwest Haiti. In addition to distributing nearly 400 tarps, World Renew has already distributed emergency food aid to 450 families and plans to distribute 500 household water filters. Plans for longer-term assistance are also underway. Director of Chaplaincy and Care - The Christian Reformed Church in North America has a position opening for Director of Chaplaincy and Care, based in either the Grand Rapids, MI or the Burlington, ON office. This person will be responsible for developing and promoting the strategic ministry of Christian Reformed chaplains. This includes enlisting, endorsing, encouraging, and enfolding chaplains of the CRCNA and for providing pastoral support, care, and advocacy for chaplains serving in specialized settings. Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 5 years experience as a chaplain and at least one quarter of Clinical Pastoral Education (or equivalent). Seminary graduate, ordination, and administrative experience preferred.
