Help us to grow in compassion and care for the multitude of your creatures that we may see them not as objects for our use but as brothers and sisters that sing your never-ending praise; through Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God. Amen. INTERCESSORY PRAYER & LORD S PRAYER Hymnal 895 After each petition ending Merciful God, please respond saying: keep your planet and people in peace. Almighty God, you have made a covenant with all creation, and you place in our hands a responsibility to care for the Earth and its creatures. We pray for all to whom you have given life and being. We pray for the well-being of the Earth, for its resources of water, air, light, and soil, that they may be tended for the good of all creatures.
2 We pray for the animals of the Earth, wild and domestic, large and very small, that they may know the harmony of relationship among them that sustains all life. We pray for all who shape public policies affecting the planet and its creatures, that they may consider wisely the inheritance of those who will come after us. We pray for all living beings who are ill or in danger, pain, or special need, especially those who suffer from the misuse of the Earth's resources. We pray for the gifts of science and technology and for those who practice these skills, that they may be wise, visionary, and compassionate in their work. We pray for our ancestors and the generations of plants and animals who whose lives and deaths have contributed to the fruitful abundance of this planet. Gracious God, by the power of the Holy Spirit, draw all things into communion with you and with each other, that we may have in us the same mind that was in Christ Jesus, who taught us to pray together, saying: Our Father, SUNG RESPONSE (SING TWICE) Be Still and Know SENDING SONG Go with them, Lord PSALTER (Sing Response) Psalm 148 Hymnal 861 MINISTRY IN MUSIC Worthy Is The Lamb Lamont Lenox Tierra Whetstone, soloist; Chancel Choir How I adore you, oh, Lamb of God.
