Stewardship is the way in which we handle all that God has entrusted us with. Malachi 3:10 says, Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this, says the Lord Almighty, and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it. Our faithfulness in stewardship displays that we trust God first, recognize that all is His, and honors the Lord.

Our parishes are hosting a bus trip to the Fireside to see a Christmas Musical Elf on Wednesday, December 19. A Bus will pick us up at St. Catherine Church at 9 AM and at St. Joan of Arc at 9:30 AM. The trip includes the Bus fare, a wonderful Dinner and the show. We will return around 5 PM. The cost is $80 per person and that includes everything! Write your checks out to St. Catherine Church. Garden of Eat n Harvest Prayer God our Father, as we celebrate this season s harvest in the Garden of Eat n, we give you thanks for the blessings of food, provision and nourishment you have so generously supplied. Grant that those using the food pantries that we serve have been filled with the goodness of the harvest and are thankful for Your gifts of food. We thank You Lord for the volunteers who have answered the call for help this growing season. Their time and hard work lightened the workload. Working together has strengthened the bonds between the parishioners of St. Catherine and St. Joan of Arc for that we give you thanks. 6 6 Welcome to St. Catherine of Alexandria and St. Joan of Arc Dear Friends, One of the gifts of St. Joan of Arc Parish School, and of being in a Catholic school, is the opportunity to pray together at Mass, particularly for Holy Days. On November 2, we came together to pray for All Saints Day. In class, students learn that All Saints Day is a day of remembrance for all of the saints that have gone before us. Our middle school also learned about the cultural connection of the day to dia de los muertos (Day of the Dead) in Mexico. They were able to see the way the day is lived out in sections of the movie, Coco, that was released by Disney last year and depicts many of these cultural traditions in action (with some Disney fantasy woven in, of course). Here our Confirmands take time to reflect on forgiveness and what they need to let go of in their lives. Together we pray for one another as we, Let Go and Let God. Our Confirmands take time for Yoga. The word Yoga means union. Here our youth are focusing on their union with Christ. Through movement and prayer they accept the invitation to deepen their relationship with our Lord. The Spirit acts with strength within us, within all people and during one s whole life, when we receive him in our hearts, Christ makes himself present and takes shape in our lives. Pope Francis

Wednesday, November 21, 2018 All are welcome, with a special outreach extended to various groups / organizations including, but not limited to, the members of the military (past and present) and their families, elderly, homeless, disabled, family / women s / men s shelters, rehab facilities and people who simply seek companionship, great food and conversation. We will be providing a complete Thanksgiving bountiful feast with all the traditional trimmings. The menu will include: turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, buttered green beans and kernel corn, cranberry relish, fruit salad, a variety of delicious desserts, and various beverages. There will also be musical entertainment during dinner. This is an interfaith event sponsored by various churches within the Waukesha County community. Dinner will be hosted at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Delafield. Other sponsors include St. Joan of Arc and St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Churches, the Nashotah House Theological Seminary in addition to St. John s Northwestern Military Academy and Thrivent Financial.
