2 Sermon Series Diving Deep: Exploring the Big Questions Together Our sermon series, Diving Deep, continues in September tackling big theological questions. We all have those stubborn questions about God, faith, scripture and doctrine that linger in our lives. As a congregation, we will be diving deep to bring those questions to the surface, so that we might discuss them in Holy conversation. This series will be one large conversation with many voices and many perspectives, as we seek to uncover our own belief systems. 7 Stewardship Sunday Congregational Care Ministry Spotlight Sunday, September 16 10:00 a.m. Worship Every third Sunday of the month, the Stewardship Team will spotlight a different ministry of the church. On Sunday, September 16, we will celebrate our Congregational Care Ministry who provide care, concern, prayer and support for family members and individuals at various stages, places and circumstances of life. What does the word Stewardship mean to you? Merriam-Webster defines stewardship as the conducting, supervising, or managing of something; especially the careful and responsible management of something entrusted to one s care. If we are truly devoted to our church and to God, we must consider all that we give, not only financially but with our time and talents. Being PRESENT is also a part of stewardship. Attending church and getting involved in the ministries of the church are all a part of stewardship. Our mission as a church is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world and the Stewardship Team is here to remind you all of how that is happening each and every day at First United Methodist Church!
