St. Anne Parish Commission Contacts ~ Win Spencer , gmaspencer@msn.com ~ Dani Edwards , danielle.s.edwards.06@gmail.com ~ John Prey , jvprey45@hotmail.com ~ Jan Ostrowski ~ Keri Wulf , keriwulf@charter.net The glory of God how real is that to us? Mary and Martha are certain that the story would have been different if Jesus had been able to get there sooner. The death of their brother Lazarus undermines their faith. Jesus couldn t possibly change the outcome. Why didn t he come sooner? Turning to our own lives, how often do we think that God isn t listening to our prayers? Do we question what God is doing for us? What happens to our faith in what God can do? Does glory seem impossible? The time of Lent is meant to restore our faith in God. While there the notion of glory? The ability to achieve peace is about the glory of God. A world where violence reduces is about the glory of God. way of goodness, making the repairs in our home these and more are about believing in the glory of God. Yet in the midst of these moments, we often doubt that God is taking care of us. Often we do not think that things are happening fast enough. We want to toss aside the cross and have the glory now. And if the glory is not now, we begin to lose faith. In the words of Jesus, did I not tell you that if you believe, you would see the glory of God? How well has Lent taught us to believe in the glory of God? Faith allows us to see something more, have hope that more can still occur and this is the glory of God at work in our lives. When we gather at the cross, will our eyes be ready to see glory? During the time of Spring break, some building work has been accomplished. Have you noticed some of the changes? (Check the list next week to see if you found the updates!) Thank you to the custodial staff, volunteers and professionals who have helped us We have reached 82% of our target for the Diocesan Annual Appeal. Small, regular contributions continue. To reach our target, we need to raise $24,000. If you are watching closely, the steady contributions are making a difference. Consider helping us reach the goal by June 15th. With the passing of April 1, I will let you know what our rebate will be. The replacement of school doors will possibly have to wait one year; the rebate will be reduced in proportion to the percentage of our target achieved. In the meantime, please consider a donation Thank you! A wish of God s peace is extended to the family and friends of Floy Jones whose funeral was on Thursday, March 27. May our prayers support and encourage those who mourn. May she rest in peace! Lenten Resources Available The Lenten Resource table is available in the West Gathering Space for you to review and see how you can engage further into Lent this season! Even if you aren t an architect, we value your thoughts and ideas as we make plans to improve our worship space and you can contact Pete with your suggestions. Stewardship Corner Words of Wisdom: Remember, you are a steward, or manager of your resources; don t let your possessions own you. The more things you have to have, the less freedom you have. When you change your habits, your life changes as well. It s easier to keep things in control than to get them back in control. It s not so much about money as it is about living an abundant life in Christ. Sociables SENIORS!!! Sociables will meet Tuesday, April 8, at 1:30 pm in the South Gathering Space.
