Our Veritas Faith Formation Classes for the Religious Education Year began last Wednesday. As a Reminder to Parents: Grades 1-4 meet from 4:30pm to 5:45pm. Students are to enter the Mother Teresa Center via the front entrance on Baird Street, and may do so as early as 4:15pm. Grades 5-12 meet from 6:15pm to 7:30pm. These students are to enter and be dismissed via the Rear Entrance of the building. We will have a food collection for our friends in need at all Masses the weekend of October 13th and 14th. Please plan on bringing non-perishable food with you when you attend Mass these days. God will see to it that you do not go without your reward. Our St. Vincent de Paul council will meet on Tuesday, October 2nd, in the Father Schuh Hall at 5pm. Divine Mercy Devotions The last Sunday of each month at 3:00pm: This month s Divine Mercy Holy Hour will be THIS SUNDAY, September 30th, at 3:00pm. Diapers & More for Love Life Once again, area churches will be collecting diapers for infants and toddlers during the month of September. Families served by Love Life Ministry will benefit from your donations. In addition to diapers, gently used size 0-5 clothing, baby items, and toys are also accepted. Large United Way boxes are located near the Baird Street and Parking Lot entrances of our Church building. For larger items, rummage sale leftovers, and other types of donations, please call Kathy Bornemann at to make arrangements. Annual Rosary Rally The Annual Rosary Rally for Peace & The Family, sponsored by the Green Bay Diocesan Division of the World Apostolate of Fatima ~ Our Lady s Blue Army, will be on Saturday, October 13th the 101st Anniversary of the Miracle of the Sun, at the Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help. The Rosary Rally will commence following the shrine s 11am Mass, and will include Lunch on your own, a Fatima Talk by Fr. Tony, Outdoor Procession with International Rosary, and will close with Exposition and Benediction around 3pm. Pope Francis October, 2018 Intention: For The Mission of Religious That consecrated religious men and women may rouse themselves spiritually, and be present among the poor, the marginalized, and those who have no voice. Family Rosary Hour Every Thursday afternoon (except on holidays & Holy Days) at 4:30pm in Church. 40 Days For Life Now through November 4th, Christians will join together for the Fall 40 Days for Life Vigil of prayer, walking, and fasting for an end to abortion. You re invited to peacefully pray during the 40-day vigil in the public right-of-way outside Planned Parenthood at 2605 South Oneida Street, in Ashwaubenon, and also to help spread the word about this important community outreach. 4 Dear Parish Family & Friends, Welcome to the 26th Sunday in Ordinary Time and the beautiful Season of Fall! The grace of God is spread all over the earth. It comes to us in many ways, often through the unlikeliest of people, or in the unlikeliest of situations. As we celebrate Mass today, let us reflect on how we have experienced God's grace in our lives, and open ourselves to the possibility of receiving it at any time, in any place. The Word Speaks To Us: For years, the Israelites looked to Moses to speak on the Lord's behalf. Similarly, the disciples looked to Jesus to drive out demons. But today, we hear first of God bestowing the gift of prophecy on seventy elders, and then of a stranger driving out demons in Jesus' name. Moses and Jesus respond the same way to the objections of others: the Spirit of the Lord is upon these people. They are on our side. Questions of The Week: In what ways do I put too much faith in temporary things that bring me perishable wealth and comfort? How can I express the Spirit of God, Who I received at my Baptism, to others? All Catholic Men, and their sons, are invited to join together this coming Thursday, October 4th, the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, for a Holy Hour in which we will stand and kneel strongly as MEN, and intercede for our Families, our Parish, our Nation, and for the Holy Catholic Church.
