Eureka Mission Trip: A team of youth ministers, priests and 25 teens (high school/college) will travel to Eureka to stay at the St. Bernard High School dorms for a week to assist with the growing demands of the area's homeless population. Catholic Baseball Camp: The first of its kind will combine all the excitement of hardball drills with the inspiration of our Catholic faith. The successful bi-lingual candidate will be an active practicing Catholic. He/she will hold at least a bachelor s degree in Theology or Religious Studies from a Catholic University. The candidate must have at least 5 years experience in Administration in a Catholic School or parish setting. He/ She must present background criminal check clearance and complete online training as required by the Diocesan Office for Child and Youth Protection. Called by God As Eucharistic Ministers, we are called to serve God s holy people by sharing the Body and Blood of Christ with our brothers and sisters. Called to Love Like Christ By answering God s call to become a Eucharistic Minister, you will enter into a deeper intimacy with the risen Christ present in the Eucharist. You are also called to be an example of Christ s love. Like Christ, you will become a servant to your fellow parishioners. You will serve the faith community in a way that is both a privilege and a form of humble service. Called to Be Extraordinary". As a layperson, it is out of the ordinary for you to give communion to others; therefore, you will become an extraordinary minister of the Eucharist. When we receive the Eucharist, we receive the gift and promise of eternal life. As a Eucharistic Minister, you would be the sign and carrier of Eucharistic joy. Listen for His Call - The Lord is always calling us because of His great love for us. Deacon Todd will be having a training on Wednesday, June 13th at 6 pm in the Church. This training is required for all current Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist and for those who are looking to join this ministry. CCD registration for 2nd year students will take place in July, exact date not yet set. Check future bulletins for dates. Registration for New Students for 1st Communion & Confirmation will also take place in July. Announcements at mass and in the Bulletin will have the dates for registration as soon as the dates are set.
