POLICY FOR CERTIFICATES OF ELIGIBILITY In order to receive a Certificate of Eligibility to be a Godparent/Sponsor for Baptism or Confirmation, you must be a practicing Catholic registered in the parish. If married, you must be married in the church. You must attend Mass regularly. The use of your envelope each week will tell us that you are attending regularly. This will avoid problems or embarrassments in the future. MARRIAGES Arrangements must be made one year prior to the marriage date. Please call the Rectory. SOLEMN EUCHARISTIC ADORATION is held every Thursday at 12 noon & Wednesday evening at 6:30pm.The Holy Eucharist is exposed followed by the Miraculous Medal Novena, Rosary, and Benediction. 3 FOURTEENTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME STEWARDS GIVE BACK For my yoke is easy, and my burden light. MATTHEW 11:30 When we think of being good STEWARDS, we may think that God is asking too much of us when He calls us to generously share our time, talent, and treasure. However, we must remember that we are not owners of anything, we are merely stewards of the gifts God has given us. All He is asking is that we give back a small portion of what He has given to us. Couples will be provided with resources, experiential exercises, practical skills, and inspirational witness in four, 3-hour sessions. 4 PLEASE PRAY FOR OUR SICK: CATHOLIC ENGAGED ENCOUNTER The Engaged Encounter is a weekend away with other engaged couples which allows plenty of time alone as a couple to dialogue honestly and intensively about your prospective life together. Engaged Encounter Weekends are held at Pope John Paul II Retreat Center in Vineland, NJ. All weekends begin promptly at 8:00 pm, Friday evening and close by 3:00 pm Sunday afternoon. UPCOMING DATES ARE: August 11-13, 2017, and November 10-12, Registration fee is $ per couple and includes lodging, meals, and program resources. CAP PROGRAM (CHILD ASSAULT)-JULY 2017 SESSIONS The Office of Child and Youth Protection of the Diocese of Camden is announcing CAP sessions for the Month of July.. CAP is the safe environment training program for adults who have regular contact with minors. Attendance is required to comply with the USCCB s Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People. The policy of the Diocese of Camden is that adults will attend CAP once every five years. RITE OF CHRISITAN INITIATION FOR ADULTS The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) is a process though which people become fully initiated members of the Catholic Church. They come together on a weekly basis in order to learn about Jesus Christ and His Church, to experience community and to grow closer to God. Are you someone who has never been baptized and who feels an attraction to the church? Are you a baptized Christian who would like to explore our Catholic tradition? WE WERE MADE TO WORSHIP We have been invited to a 3 evening presentation on Worship given at the Highland Park Church of God. The 3 evening conference, which is being held on Tues-Wed-Thurs, July at 6:00-9:00pm, is given by different leaders of worship from different faiths. This will be a very interesting conference from an ecumenical perspective. The conference will be held at the Highland Park Church of God. Registration deadline is July 10th. Worship Areas to be covered are: 1) Worship Team Renewal 2) Choir Inspiration 3) Worship Leader Enrichment 4) Laypersons desiring to learn more about worship. A light dinner is included.
