The Father will honor whoever serves me. John 12:26 The Altar Server Ministry is an important part of something awesome. You will learn a great deal about the Mass, our Parish and our Catholic faith by serving at Sunday, Funeral and Wedding Masses and partaking in special liturgical ceremonies. The primary role of the server is to assist the priest in the celebration of the liturgy. The server helps prepare for the Mass and is a role model for the congregation. By actively participating in the Mass you will be part of the Church in a special way. We ask that you think about becoming part of the St. Mary Parish Altar Servers program by praying and talking to your family. We are looking to increase our present small core of servers and open it up to parishioners from 4th grade to high school. The program is open to all registered boys and girls of St. Mary Church who have received the Sacrament of Holy Eucharist, attend Mass on a regular basis, and be at least the age of 10. All members must be willing to attend an Altar Server Orientation and training sessions, as well as meetings throughout the year. For more information or to sign up, please call Deacon Dave Murnane at or Deacon Frank Crosson Your commitment to the altar is not only a duty, but a great honor and a genuine holy service St. Pope John Paul II

HOUSE OF CHARITY 2017 DID YOU KNOW - the House of Charity is a donor choice for many employee giving campaigns? Many businesses will begin their Employee Giving Campaigns this month and continue to solicit donations through the fall months. Employee Giving/ United Way campaigns give us an opportunity to direct our donations to the charities that best represents our beliefs, interests and social concerns. Ask your employer for a pledge card and be sure to: In the Donor Choice Section, designate the HOUSE of Charity Ask to be acknowledged! This ensures our parish will receive credit toward our House of Charity goal. If the agency requests a code for your donor choice these codes may be found on the House of Charity website under Employee Giving Campaign and in the Catholic Star Herald. Your donation to our House of Charity helps to build, support and maintain many programs, ministries and services throughout our parishes and communities. These programs save lives and build futures.
