2 Evensong Installation of Canon for Operations Thursday in Third Week of Lent 21 March :15 pm Welcome to Grace Cadral. Choral Evensong marks end of working day prepares us for approaching night. The roots of this service are in ancient monastic traditions of Christian prayer. This form was created in 16th century by Thomas Cranmer, Archbishop of Canterbury, as part of a simplification of worship within newlyreformed Church of Engl. The Episcopal Church, as part of worldwide Anglican Communion, has inherited this pattern of evening prayer. We reprise Magnificat Nunc Dimittis from last week introduce a new anm Crist Sainte Marie written by Hermit-Saint Godric in early 1100 s.
