3 MEMORIAL GARDEN ORDER FORMS AVAILABLE Our summer drive for orders for the St John Fisher Memorial Garden is continuing Orders will be engraved and set in place during the month of September Forms are available in the rectory office and at the church entrances It is our hope that this space will provide an opportunity for prayer and contemplation as we remember loved ones who hold a special place in our hearts and in the life of our parish community QUEEN OF HEARTS TAKE 2 ST JOHN FISHER QUEEN OF HEARTS RAFFLE 60% to the winner and 40% to SJF The pot is over $24,000 and climbing every day! Buy tickets after 10am Mass on Sundays and every day at Cork and Kerry Winner need not be present If card is selected and you don t get the Queen of Hearts, you still win $100-$500 weekly If no one wins, we dump the tickets and start fresh next week questions to sjfqueenofhearts@yahoocom RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION OF ADULTS We are starting to anticipate the beginning of the RCIA sessions in October for those adults who would like to become Catholic This is how someone becomes a Catholic The RCIA process program is for: A non-baptized adult who is interested in the possibility of becoming Roman Catholic; An adult baptized in a Protestant tradition who wants to know more about Roman Catholicism and is considering becoming a Catholic; A baptized adult who has not had much Catholic education/formation and who would like to complete the Sacraments of Initiation (Confirmation and Eucharist) Anyone interested in knowing more should give Fr Dan a call (773) Spread the word! FISHERFEST 2018 SEPTEMBER 13th-16th - SAVE THE DATES! This all important fundraiser which provides such a fun environment for us to come together as a community and raises 10-15% of the overall parish operating income is in need of some help! 4 PRO LABORE DEI - BACK TO SCHOOL It s that time again, as hard as it is to start thinking about the new school year right around the corn Pro Labore Dei is hoping to provide back packs and school supplies to as many of our Robbins kids as possible PLD s new Outreach Program reaches the deepest cavities of poverty where parents have trouble providing food for their kids let alone school supplies Anything we can do to help these kids would be a blessing If you are able to help, following is a list of school supplies needed Notebooks Pencils and Pens Pencil Sharpeners Notebook paper Colored Pencils Erasers Spiral Theme Books Glue Sticks Safety Scissors Crayons New or gently used back packs in good condition The school year begins early in many areas so we are asking tht donations be dropped off a the rectory as soon as possible but no later than August 10th Giveaway day is August 11th If you have any questions, please contact Pam O Mara (773) Thanks you all so much!
