7 P: It is truly good, right, and salutary that we should at all times and in all places give thanks to You, holy Lord, almighty Father, everlasting God, through Jesus Christ, our Lord, who overcame the assaults of the devil and gave His life as a ransom for many that with cleansed hearts we might be prepared joyfully to celebrate the paschal feast in sincerity and truth. Therefore with angels and archangels and with all the company of heaven we laud and magnify Your glorious name, evermore praising You and saying: SANCTUS 6

8 PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING P: Blessed are You, Lord of heaven and earth, for You have had mercy on those whom You created and sent Your only-begotten Son into our flesh to bear our sin and be our Savior. With repentant joy we receive the salvation accomplished for us by the all-availing sacrifice of His body and His blood on the cross. 9 AGNUS DEI About Holy Communion The Lord s Supper is celebrated here in the belief and glad confidence that our Lord gives us as He says, not only bread and wine, but His very body and blood to eat and to drink for the forgiveness of sins and to strengthen our union with Him and with one another. Our Lord invites to His table those who trust His words, repent of all sin, and forgive and love as He forgives and loves us. If this is your belief, we welcome you to join us at the Lord s table. Because we are called to examine ourselves before receiving the Lord s Supper (I Corinthians 11:28-29), we encourage you to consider the questions on p in the front of the hymnal. If you are communing with us for the first time, or if you would like a fuller understanding of what we as Lutherans believe about the Lord s Supper, please pick up a copy of What is the Lord s Supper? at the Information table in the entryway. Please reserve the white grape juice cups in the center of the communion trays for those who for health reasons are unable to drink wine. If your health requires glutenfree wafers, they are available upon request. Speak to the pastor prior to the service. Our pastors are happy to speak to you further if you have any questions. Sign up on the kiosk to help! Prayer Shawl Ministry Did you know that individuals of our congregation knit or crochet prayer shawls? As the shawl is crafted, the individual infuses it with thoughts and prayers for comfort, healing and the embrace of God s love for the receiver. Please feel free to gift a shawl to individuals who would be comforted. Please inquire at the info desk or the church office. For those desiring to participate in this ministry please reach out to Renee Rasmusson (612) Shepherd Tours invites interested travelers to our day-trip planned to Duluth! Let s dream of spring as we travel via Voigt s coach bus April 22 to enjoy the sights of the beautiful city of Duluth. Our itinerary and details are in the attached brochure. We would be happy to supply you with more grab a brochure off the kiosk in the entry! The parking lot lights have been replaced These new, energy efficient bulbs are being billed each month over the next several years. The Hospitality Guild has donated the first year s payments. Thank you! If your group would like to donate to this cause, the monthly cost is $ ($ per year) The Altar Guild will be purchasing white lilies again this year for our Easter Celebration. $11.75 per white lily with gold wrap. We will publish an honorarium page again this year. Poland in Pictures TODAY Approximately 50 families from Trinity trace their family roots back to Popple Creek and probably Poland. As part of genealogical tour, Lynn and Sandy Machula visited Northern Poland (East Prussia) last fall to explore their family roots. Join them for this free presentation as they share their pictures about the European vacation destination known as the Land of 2,000 Lakes. Polish treats will be enjoyed as well. Everyone is welcome, today, at 3pm in the Fellowship hall at Trinity. Questions: call Dziȩkujȩ! Volunteer Lunch Server Prince of Peace Lutheran School - POP has an opening on Fridays through the end of the school year (May 23rd). Do you know of someone that could commit to helping Carol serve food and be here from 10:45 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.? If there is a time during the Worship Service that you feel your child (or you) needs a time out, please feel free to leave the service. If you leave the service, you can go to the lobby or use the large conference room across from the church office. The conference room has speakers and one-way glass so you can still participate in Worship. During the Sunday school hour, (9:15am 10:15am) and during the 10:30am worship service the nursery is staffed for children 0-3 years old. The nursery is in the preschool on the north end of the building. It is the first classroom on the left as you enter the preschool parent lounge area. There are also speakers in the nursery so you can listen to the service. Activity bags for young children to use are in the plastic tub outside the church office. 15
