Eucharis c Minister Training at Sacred Heart Feel called to ministry in the church? We are looking for parishioners to become Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion at Mass for all our services. This is a beau ful way to serve the church and your fellow parishioners in ministry. Those wishing to par cipate in this ministry should have received the Sacraments of Bap sm, Confirma on, Eucharist and be at least 16 years old. Training will be held in the main church for new and exis ng ministers on Tuesday, March 5, 6:30 to 7:30 pm and offered a second me on Saturday, March 9, 9:30 to 10:30 am. March 25 th March 28 th Father Simeon Gallagher, OFMCap, will be presen ng this year s Parish Retreat. There will be four evening presenta ons. There will also be four shorter presenta ons a er morning Mass. Parish Apprecia on Dance Mark your calendar for Friday, February 15, 6:30 pm, for an evening of good music and fellowship. The band is Top Shelf and plays a variety of rock and country. The event is free, but ckets are required due to limited sea ng in Sullivan's Hall and is limited to adult members of Sacred Heart Parish. Tickets can be picked up at weekend Masses or in the Parish Office. It is BYOB and BYO Snacks. Hamburgers and BBQ will be available for purchase outside the hall.

In the "Pass It On" Book Club you get to read a really good book, ge ng insight from other parishioners, all while having the luxury of staying in your PJ's at home! (We are currently reading "Amazing Grace for the Catholic Heart, 101 Stories of Faith, Hope, Inspira on & Humor") While you are reading, feel free to take notes in the margins and highlight anything that you par cularly like or that speaks to you. You can read the en re book, or only certain selec ons- just remember to comment your thoughts about what you have read. Sign the book & return it to the office. Marriage Prepara on Marriage Prepara on: To schedule a wedding, an engaged couple must meet with their parish priest or deacon at least eight months before their proposed wedding date. Prepara on for the sacrament includes a ending a diocesan program such as Engaged Encounter or Pre Cana. Also, couples of child-bearing age will need to take a full course of Natural Family Planning. Pre-registra on for each of these programs is mandatory. The next Engaged Encounter program will be February 8 th 10 th at Marywood Retreat Center. The next Pre Cana program will be March 2 nd in Jacksonville.
