The details of the Mission Programme are now available in a flyer format from the Parish Office. The Mission will be led by Fr. Derek Meskell and Fr. Peter Burns of the Redemptorist Order. All welcome Lusk Twin Town Our twin town Thorigne-Fouillard, Brittany will be welcoming a delegation of 25 from Lusk of dancers parents and teachers from Scoil Rince Fingal and the local musicians, the Fingal five. They arrive on the 22 nd March and we wish them a most enjoyable time B.E. - Beginning Experience B.E. is a support group for those coping with the pain ofloss of their life partner, through Death, Separation or Divorce. Few people are able to cope alone with the pain of loss. Do you find that you need more support than family and friends can provide? Seeking help is a sign of strength and self-knowledge not weakness. This is a healing ministry, which helps to resolve the grief that goes with the end of a marriage or relationship. Coping effectively with bereavement is a skill we can all learn. Next residential weekend will be held on 4th- 6th May in Emmaus Retreat Centre, Swords. For further information please contact or bedublin@gmail.com Why Ring a Bell on St. Patrick's Day 2012 For Christians the bell is associated with the invitation to gather, to respond to the sound of God's voice, God's call, which draws people to assemble. In Early Christian Ireland, St. Patrick's Bell heralded the dawn of a new and eternal day for the Irish people -- a call to hear the Good News - Jesus Christ, the Word made Flesh - and in turn become bearers of this news to others, far and near. The image of the bell is still used to convey joy, celebration and the announcement of good news. Combined, the image and sound of the bell, symbolise for us God's call to all people to gather to hear the Good News. The symbol of the 50th International Eucharistic Congress 2012, (which is being held in Dublin from th June), is a Bell. Like the Olympic torch prepares the way for the next Olympic Games, the Eucharistic Congress Bell has been going all around Ireland since St. Patrick's Day 2011, calling people to prepare for the Eucharistic Congress. The Bell visited St. MacCullins Parish in the summer of Having visited all 26 dioceses in Ireland since March 2011, the Eucharistic Bell travels to Rome for St. Patrick's Day 2012, bringing an international aspect to the call to spiritual renewal in the heart of the Catholic Church. Like St. Patrick's Bell, the Eucharistic Congress Bell rings across our land calling God's people together, to hear the good news that God is present among us and calls us to Communion.

5 Lusk Tidy Up The relatively mild winter has made it possible to begin the task of tidying up our village for this year. Hedge cutting has taken place and the back areas improved by weeding and spraying and litter picking. April is spring clean month organised by An Taisce and we urge everyone to get involved, by painting and generally tidying up. Dumping unfortunately becomes a major problem. Please help to keep Lusk tidy. Lusk Athletic Club Notes In the Boyne AC indoors, Natrum Skelly & Neil Cunningham ran in the 4-6 age-group, with Neil taking 2nd. Tara Gleeson was 4th in U14 600m. Katie Taylor was 5th in the U11s. Conor Gleeson, Cillian Skelly & Sean Cunningham ran in 60 mtrs. Conor & Cillian also ran in U11, 200m. Lusk s U11 relay team of Conor, Sean, Katie and Cillian took 2nd place. Tara teamed up with Boyne AC in the U17 relay, taking Gold.
