The amount raised in Kildysart was 402. This voluntary organisation records and preserves older peoples memories. Wanted for Charity - Used Postage Stamps: Leave a piece of paper around the stamps please. Collection boxes at back of church, post office and library. All stamps are sent to Missions for their work (St. Martin s Apostolate, Dublin). Confirmation: We pray for the young people in our parish who are preparing to receive the Holy Spirit through the sacrament of confirmation this year. The parish has arranged the following liturgies as part of the confirmation programme. Enrolment Mass on Sunday, 12th November 2017 at 10:30 am in St Michael s Church, Kildysart. Ceremony of Light on Tuesday, 24th January 2018 at 7 pm in St Michael s Church, Kildysart. Confirmation on Thursday, 22nd February 2018 in St Michael s Church, Kildysart. Kildysart Health Centre: The HSE have advised that Kildysart Health Centre will remain closed to the public from Mon., 13th Fri., 17th Nov, to facilitate essential repairs to the building. At a recent meeting the Committee has decided as a once off, to reduce the cost of graves, from 1st Sept. to 31st Dec. During this period the cost of a double grave will be 450, from 1st Jan The normal charge of 500 will apply. Anyone interested in purchasing a grave contact Mary Murphy or Michael Michael s. Kildysart Cemetery: Ticket sellers from the committee will be calling to houses in the parish hoping to get support for the Christmas raffle. Draw on Sunday, 17th December at 11:15 am in the Community Centre. Missionvale: Davan, Lily and Molly, Transition Year students at St John Bosco C.C. would like to say a huge thank you to the parishioners of Kildysart and Coolmeen-Cranny for their generous support of their trip to Missionvale, South Africa. A total of 1,140 was collected. Clare Archaeological and Historical Society: The Holy Wells of Clare a talk by Michael Houlihan. This talk will give a brief history of sacred springs, an overview of Clare well types, a discussion on the protocol and customs at wells and a review of holy wells in the Ennis area. Lecture takes place on Tuesday, 14th November in the Old Ground Hotel, Ennis, at 8 pm. The session will take place at Bellbridge House Hotel, Spanish Point on Wednesday, 15th November, from 7 pm until 9 pm.
