Jesus is also asking for the connection to God the Father to remain strong in Him as He lives the human condition. What a sign for us who are also living the human condition. 4 SACRAMENTS SACRAMENTS OF THE CHURCH Baptism - To prepare your child for Baptism, it is essential that parents participate in Pre-Jordan preparation. Marriage - Contact the parish office 1 year in advance of wedding date. Marriage prep is required. Becoming Catholic - If you or someone you know are interested in becoming Catholic or have questions about the process (Christian Initiation), please contact the parish office. Sacrament of the Sick - Anointing If you have a serious illness, are facing hospitalization and/ or surgery, please contact the parish office to arrange to receive the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick. LITURGICAL CORNER HEARTFELT THANKS! As the liturgical Christmas Season comes to a close this weekend, I d like to recognize and extend a most heartfelt THANK YOU to the multiple groups of people and individuals who helped us celebrate the season so well with such joy, wonder, beauty, prayer and praise! From environment brainstorming to decorating, creating, errands and odds-n-ends tasks, rehearsals and extra masses! Thank you to our environment team, maintenance help, lectors, servers, sacristans, communion ministers, usher teams! Thank you to those who coordinated the children s pageant, created the souvenirs, the parents, and of course all of the wonderful children! Thank you to our choirs, cantors and instrumentalists who led our masses with beautiful music! And thank you to our Choir for Christ and Spirit Singers and all who helped with the musical event/concert last Sunday - reception hospitality, programs, technical and other tasks, and of course, the beautiful and fun music! We thank God for your many gifts, talents, and contributions. And finally, thank you to all who came to celebrate this season at our Masses! May your 2019 be blessed! Jaci James 11 Days Alpine Europe Pilgrimage including The Passion Play of Oberammergau. Come along May 18-28, 2020, to take in a spiritual event that happens only every ten years, The Passion Play of Oberammergau. This international event has been taking place for over 400 years in Germany! This will all be part of a pilgrimage taking in three Alpine countries, Southern Germany, Austria and Switzerland. These are three of the most beautiful countries in all of Europe, and we ll visit great sites such as Heidelberg, the Rhine Valley, Lucerne, Salzburg, Munich and so much more! Peter and Paul Catholic Church of Mankato on Mulberry Street at 8:15 a.m. on Jan. 22 to arrive at the Cathedral of Saint Paul for an ecumenical prayer service at 11:30 a.m. We will then march six blocks to the Capitol. The MCCL March for Life begins at noon, followed by a short program at 12:30 p.m. on the Capitol steps. We will return immediately after the program, approximately 1 p.m., arriving back in Mankato around 3:30 p.m. Call Tom Hoehn at to reserve your place.
