Schools had a short week - students have a long weekend - families often try to do something fun or different. The Pharisees never seem to take a break. They are constantly nipping at the feet of Jesus, trying to catch him doing something wrong,. This will then prove that they and not Jesus are the real carriers of the message of salvation. It cannot be that way for us. We must not believe that we are exalted above the place that Jesus has in the mystery of salvation. We recognize our closeness by God and we try to respond as best as we can. Jesus will again and again pick us up when we fall short or stumble. We endure in hope and faith. Blessings, Father John MASS INTENTIONS Monday, October 23- Rom 4:20-25; Lk 12: :15 am Communion Service Tuesday, October 24- Rom 5:12, 15b, 17-21; Lk 12: :15 am Communion Service Wednesday, October 25 - Rom 6:12-18; Lk 12: :15 am - Communion Service Thursday, October 26 - Rom 6:19-23; Lk 12: :15 am Communion Service Friday, October 27 - Rom 7:18-25a; Lk 12: :15 am - James O Connor, Fred Muellerleille, Ora Roden, Kathy Sonnek Saturday, October 28- Eph 2:19-22; Lk 6: :15 pm Mark Snaza, Phyllis Goettl, Joe Reinbold Sunday, October 29 - Ex22:20-26;1Thes1:5c-10;Mt22: :00 am Joan Martindale, Linus Hillesheim 10:00 am Joseph & Martha Phillips, Margaret Hiller, Parishioners of St John s St. John s Prayer Network - To submit a prayer request, please call: Sandy Roberts or Alice DiMeglio or Monica Priebe, Pastoral Care Associate at: monicap@stjohnsmankato.net
