Inside this Issue Thank You Notes Anniversaries Librarian Note 2 Events Calendar 3 Birthdays Volunteer Schedule Jr./Sr. High Youth Friend s Club Financial News 4 5 Our Shoebox emphasis Sunday will be October 14 when Rex McConahay will be sharing the morning message - Impossible Ox Tales: Impossible Box Tales, a celebration of 25 years of the shoebox ministry. But NOW you can grab several boxes to fill. In each box you should find a bar of soap, a washcloth, packing/gift instructions, a prayer bookmark guide, and two rubber bands to put around the boxes when you return them full. If you prefer to not pack a box, you may purchase as many items as you want and place them in the box beside the display table. The last day to return your packed boxes and extra items will be November 11. Since 1993, the Good News of Jesus Christ has been shared with more than 157 million boys and girls through the power of simple shoebox gifts. Last year almost 11 million shoeboxes were collected from 11 countries and sent to 114+ countries around the world. 1.9 million students of The Greatest Journey reported decisions for Christ. 6.9 million reported decisions for Christ since Our church will once again serve as a Drop-Off location for other churches in the area, the week of November We will need four people each evening to pack the shoeboxes into shipping cartons. She is known for her winning romantic suspense novels. The ones I am highlighting are three of them in this series. 3 Forward Look Combined Service & Thanksgiving Meal Come celebrate Thanksgiving with the church family Sunday, November 4. Invite family and friends to join us. We will have a special combined worship service at 10:30 am. 5 Forward Look Page 5 Jr. & Sr. High Youth (grades 6-12) Friends Club Kids (age 5-5th grade) Hangouts: Jr. and Sr. High youth hangouts are held Sunday nights 6:00 pm in the youth room. Please note - there will not be any Hangout Sunday, Oct. 7. Better bring your muscles and some momentum to our next gathering! Come join us as we do a little work around the church. We will meet in the Upper Fellowship Hall on Saturday, October 27 th from 9:00-11:00 am.
