Brandy Abernathy & Jessica Owensby will provide our special music. Love Offering A Love Offering will be received tonight and each Sunday night in September to cover the expenses of Super September Sundays. Offering envelopes are available in the pews. COMMITMENT SURVEY Please complete a Commitment Survey to let the Committee on Committees know the areas where you are interested in serving. Forms are on the table outside the church office. Place your form in the offering plate or turn it in to the office TODAY. JOHN AND ALYCIA GIBBONS were in the path of Hurricane Florence in North Carolina. They lost their home when the winds and rain destroyed the roof causing the ceilings to collapse. A donation account has been established at Hometown Bank in their names. The couple would like to write a note of thanks for each contribution. Please include a name and address if you would like to hear from them. FBC Goal-$2,000 Received to date-$450 Envelopes are available outside the sanctuary. SPIRITS OF PRAISE EVENTS Singing ~ Tuesday, September 25, 10:00 a.m., Choir Room. Come and enjoy a great time of singing, fun and fellowship. Picnic ~ Thursday, September 27, 6:00 p.m., Palisades Park, Pavilion 7. Meat and drinks will be provided. Bring your favorite picnic dishes, desserts, chairs and a friend. SUNDAY, OCTOBER 28 4:00-6:00 P.M. This morning after the worship service there will be a brief interest meeting about the Fall Festival. If you participated last year or are interested in volunteering this year, please attend this meeting at the front of the sanctuary. We need everyone to participate!

4 BLESSINGS IN A BACKPACK FBC is responsible for this ministry during the month of November. To help provide food for children during the weekend, you may bring any of the items listed below and place them in the stairwell by the office. You may also donate money for the purchase of items. Please indicate Blessings in a Backpack on your envelope. Breakfast Bars, Oatmeal, Cereal Bowls, Grits, Granola Bars, Fruit & Grain Bars, (No Pop Tarts), Soups, Canned Meat, Meat Sticks, Ravioli Type Product, Canned Vegetables, Canned Fruit, Cheese Sticks, Raisins, Animal Crackers, Cheese & Crackers, Graham Crackers, Applesauce (100% Juice), Fruit Snacks Pudding (2% Milk). Donations are due by October 21. OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD We are collecting items for OCC. There is a bin in the stairwell next to the office for donations. We need many items, but the most pressing needs are hygiene products: Washcloths, soap, floss, etc (non-food type items). (No toothpaste). School supplies, pencils, sharpeners, pens, markers, etc. Also, if you have old t-shirts to donate, they can be made into jump ropes. Stains and tears do not matter, but if the shirts are clean, it will be appreciated. Please turn the shirts in TODAY! DivorceCare and DC4K meet on Sunday nights at 5:30 p.m. If you or someone you know are separated or divorced please consider being a part of or telling them about this small group. NEW LADIES BIBLE STUDY, What Matters Most, A Study of Philippians, will begin on Mondays at 10:00 a.m. This is a sevenweek study. Judy Camp invites everyone to join the study beginning on Monday, October 1. KAY ARTHUR will present a webcast called Enduring Experiencing God s Lovingkindness. We will view the four hour conference after the event on Saturday, November 3, at 9:00 a.m. with a lunch break. Bring your favorite salad dish or dessert. The cost will be $25.00 per person.
