2 Pastor s Page We will Share the Hope and Billy Graham will Help! We are to become disciples and grow as disciples on the Journey with Jesus. But it doesn t stop there. We are also called by Jesus to help MAKE disciples! Meaning, we are to help other people to know that Jesus loves them too and wants to forgive them of their sins and give them a new start! As Moravian Christians who believe in the Bible we stand firm on the truth that there is only one way to heaven JESUS. He said I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through me (John 14:6). GOOD NEWS is meant to be Shared! If we keep it to ourselves then something is wrong. Since there is no better news than Jesus love and forgiveness and having the hope of heaven then we should share it with others. We will Share the Hope and Billy Graham will help! Evangelist Billy Graham has helped millions of people come to a saving faith in Jesus through his preaching and large crusade events. In his latter years he continues to faithfully share the Good News of Jesus. In November he is organizing a Gospel campaign known as MY HOPE AMERICA. Billy Graham will be celebrating his 95 th Birthday on November 7 by sharing a new TV message called The Cross as a part of a nationwide evangelistic outreach. Watch The Cross on November 7 th 8:00PM on Channel 27 (Station WGTW/TBN) 10:00PM on FOX News What you can do to Share the Hope : Invite family members, co-workers, neighbors and friends over to your home on Nov. 7 to watch the TV message or encourage them to watch in their own homes either way ask afterward what they thought about Billy Graham s message and if they began a personal relationship with Jesus. Invite them to church in the coming weeks so they can grow in their faith. If you are uncomfortable with sharing your faith, or are unsure of being saved yourself, simply watch The Cross with an open heart and respond to the Lord with faith. On Sunday, October 13, 2013 we joyfully received 8 new members. Brian and Tamara Carr and their children Dustin, Kendrick and Kyralee. 4 Live in Love Each month a family of our congregation will be featured on the church bulletin board. We thank Sister Tamara Carr for her creativity in updating both the church and C.E. Bulletin boards! The Kilps Family was featured in October look to see who is featured in our Chruch Family Tree in November! MEN You are Invited! I look forward to seeing our Moravian Men gather together to gain strength from one another and from Jesus. We will have a more open and informal atmosphere. As we talk about various topics we will make spiritual connections and see how our faith makes a difference. We will meet in the back of the Fellowship Hall after the children Sunday School Opening. We will plan to go from 9:45-10:30AM and then head over for worship at 10:45AM. - Pastor Andy WOMEN You are Invited! I m excited about our newly formed Siebke Women s Fellowship an extension of the Siebke Circle. All of the ladies of the congregation are invited to a morning of fellowship in the parsonage living room. Our time together will allow us to connect with one another on a regular basis as well as dialogue about our faith. I am thankful for the women who have already been a part of the adult Sunday school class. I hope that they will continue on in this new format. And I pray that any woman who has never been a part of a small group will consider giving this one a try! I m really looking forward to our mornings together! - Karen Kilps

Treasurers Report Sisters and Brothers we have come to the end of the third quarter and we are short in our envelope giving in total a tad over $3600. The breakout is as follows: Budget Actual Shortage Current $50058 $47182 $2876 Provincial Benevolence Improvement Additionally we failed to meet our Easter and Lenten Folder targets by a combined $1130. Typically we pick up the pace as a congregation over the last quarter of the year. The need for the pattern to continue is present this year. 8 Share the Hope ****************************************************************************** Bread of Life Food Pantry Where: Epworth United Methodist Church (501 Morgan Ave., Palmyra) **The food pantry will be open the 3 rd Saturday of every month** 10:00a.m. 1:00p.m. Please be generous in bringing Thanksgiving food items this Month!! Food on the First! November 3 rd Our church will bring food on the First Sunday of the month Place food in the basket up front in the sanctuary. All of the food will go to the Bread of Life Food Pantry and will provide for families in the Tri-Boro. We have been asked to collect these items: Peanut Butter, Jelly, Cookies, Crackers, Kool-Aid, Rice Krispies Treats, Goldfish Cheez-its, Popcorn, Pudding and Jello.
