Gus Lohrum, Pastor Mary Puraty, Office Secretary Bob Schlabach, Music Director Liz Vantrease and Marilyn Schlabach, Musicians Jane Perry, Custodian August 10th I will beginning a new sermon series entitled "Road Trip." We will look at significant biblical roads and paths to examine their symbolic spiritual meaning to our lives. Here are the roads we'll be traveling: August 10th: The Road of Joy, Luke 5:1-11 August 17th: The Road of Courage, Joshua 1:1-19 August 24th: The Road of Freedom, Luke 10:30-37 August 31st: The Road of Humility, Jonah 1:1-3 If you have a story, a life experience of how God has worked in your life and it goes along with the theme of the sermon, I would love for you to share that in worship. Maybe you have a friend that has an inspiring story to share in worship. Perhaps someone could do a short skit? I have a challenge, could someone sing the song, Bless The Broken Road, by Racal Flats, that song has a great spiritual message. Worship is so much more honoring of God when we bring our gifts and abilities together. Please keep these themes in mind and if you have something to share, call me and we'll talk. In Christ, Gus

This is made possible through the generosity of many individuals who have given money and items for these much needed kits. Thanks To You from Joan Jones and our Youth and Children Dear Christian Friends, Boy, what a summer! We had three groups of youth that went to church camp at Lakeshore. We had a car wash. I think the adults did a good job washing. The youth were saving most of their energy for church camp. We had a great time at Vacation Bible School. We want to thank Helen Enochs and Donna Uitendaal for the wonderful decorations it just set the theme for us. R.C. Owen made some wonderful pictures. Check them out! They are posted in the hallway and in the fellowship hall. We want to thank the twenty-eight adults and the eight Jr and Sr High s that helped with our VBS. Boy, we had a goof time! Everyone that came out of a certain door during the VBS were talking about the paper being dry though drenched with water. What were they talking about, brother Gus? We had a good time at the Jr-Sr High Water War. We want to thank Mrs. Judy for taking care of feeding us. Thanks to all of the parents who filled up the balloons and for all of the props we had. It was fun! Let s all get excited about our Youth Program. Our teachers and staff are ready to go. We will start ACTS on the 2 nd Wednesday on August at 5:30pm. There is a lot planned that will be exciting for us. Keep our Youth Program in your prayers. Remember our your is the future of the church. Drop by and see us any Wednesday night. You will be surprised by what you see. If you would like to volunteer, call Joan anytime. Home Phone: Cell Phone:
5 Mt. Carmel Picnic Fellowship What a wonderful time everyone had at Mt. Carmel! Delicious food, lots of fellowship, great music, and fun rides on the barrel train and hay trailer. The weather forecast was posted to continue the July hot temps. But, God did what God does best. Around 5:30, a cooling breeze came across the beautiful country, making the evening very pleasant and comfortable. An added treat for everyone was seeing the lovely stain glass windows that have been placed in the sanctuary of Mt. Carmel Church. The latest of these glorious windows have been made by local Yorkville artist, Pam Locker.
