(Ok, so it s not at all warm outside...but this is the name of the youth event we are attending this week.) I wanted to take this opportunity to ask you to pray for our youth and adults that are attending Warmth in Winter this weekend. The event is held at the Embassy Suites in Murfreesboro, TN. Throughout the weekend, 2200 youth will gather (with a few adults along to help) for worship and breakout small group sessions to hear powerful preaching and, most importantly, to focus on their relationship with God. Please pray for our safe travel, and for each of the youth and adults that are going. We are excited about what God is doing through our ACTS & Youth programs. We give thanks for the ways God has called this group together and look forward with joy and anticipation to a future of HOPE. The participants are: Adults: Tiffany Rogers, Faye Greene, Rev. To compete in the National Championship Competition on February 8, The Junior Varsity will compete against 7 other squads and the Varsity will compete against 20 squads. We wish them the best of luck and we ask for prayers for a safe trip there and back and while they are there that there will be no injuries or any sort of problems. We certainly hope that they come home with two big trophies. Lori Evans and Wendi Roberson, Sponsors, have done an awesome job training these girls and guys. They say WE ARE READY.

3 Our Mission ACTS mission focus for February is to make and send Valentine's Day cards to older members of our congregation that are at home or in nursing homes. (Dorothy Enochs, Jean Forrester, Betty Holland, Mary Helen Ladd, Marjorie Lindley, Richard T. Moore, Sr., Herman Rabalais and Emily Wright). Please let Amy Davis know of anyone (name and address) you wish to have added to the list. Cards will be made February 5 th Remember ACTS follows the school calendar. So if school is closed on a Wednesday due to the weather, there will be no ACTS that night. We welcome all who commit themselves to our purpose. You do not have to be a member of the United Methodist Church to join. We strive to follow Christ's teachings to do acts of love, justice, mercy and faith and to serve one another on an equal basis. Our church offers three opportunities to join our fellowship of women. We have two circles and a General meeting. Dorcas Circle meets on the 3rd 1:30 p.m. and the Esther Circle meets on the 4th 7:00 p.m. General Meetings are quarterly. Our first General Meeting will be Saturday, February 10:00 a.m. Please join us.
