Please give prayerful consideration on how you may contribute to The Church at Litchfield Park for Pledge cards are in the Bell Tower in the Sanctuary or on the table in Souers Hall. THE BIRTH OF BABY JESUS The 2011 Nativity: A story of Jesus birth will be performed on Sunday, December 18 th, at 4:00 p.m. in Souers Hall. Homemade chicken soup dinner, a magical hay-ride, caroling and goodies will immediately follow. Children from Pre-K 5 th grade, youth and adult volunteers have been working hard to share this beautiful story with you. Please come to watch and be touched by God through these children. Contact Toni Davies at (623) for further information. CHRISTMAS DAY All three Christmas Day services will be held in the Sanctuary. The nursery will be available but there will be no children or youth Sunday School. Refreshments will be served in Souers Hall following each service.

8 RECRUITING SINGERS The 10:30 a.m. Contemporary Service is searching for singers to help lead worship every week. If you are interested in joining this fun group, please contact Amy Burns at (602) or Singers rehearse at 9:30 a.m. on Sundays, so it easily fits into a busy lifestyle!! HEAVENLY HANDBELL CHOIR If you would like to be a part of the music ministry of the church, but not sure where, there is a wonderful opportunity for you in the Heavenly Handbell Choir. You do not have to read music we will teach you how. You do have to want to have fun ask any of the choir members!! Please contact Marilyn Chandler, Bellmaster at (623) or the church office if you would like to become a part of this choir. TUESDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDY Advent Conspiracy shows you how to substitute consumption with compassion by practicing four simple concepts: Worship Fully --- because Christmas begins and ends with Jesus! Spend Less --- and free your resources for things that truly matter. Give More --- of your presence: you hands, your words, your time, your heart. Love All --- the poor, the forgotten, the marginalized, and the sick in ways that make a difference. Find out how to have a Christmas worth remembering. Please join us on Tuesday mornings at 10:00 a.m. in the Fireside Room. WEDNESDAY NIGHT PROGRAMS Join us on Wednesday, December 14 th, for a multitude of activites and opportunities for the whole family. Dinner of Ham, Cheesy Potatoes, Fruit Salad, Rolls, and Pineapple Upside Down Cake will be served at 6:00 p.m. A host of programs will begin at 6:45 p.m. See the bulletin for more information or call the office at (623)

9 WEDNESDAY NIGHT BIBLE STUDY Join us after dinner Wednesday night in Zieske Hall for the Advent study, Journey to Christmas. There will be a brief discussion after the video. Class convenes at 6:45 p.m. for about an hour. This study is facilitated by Jane Way. THE CLP CAFÉ Looking for a place to unwind and socialize on Wednesdays? The CLP Café will be available from 5:00 7:45 p.m. in Souers Hall. You can come and just relax, use Wi-Fi, work on homework, play cards, or have a cup of coffee on the house. This is a come and go event to enjoy when bringing children to activites or catching up with friends. Hope to see you there! REC ROOM! G.O. Kids (God s Own Kids) has unveiled a Rec Room in Classroom 3 on Wednesday evenings for grades K 5. There is supervised recreation, games and activities from 5:00-6:00 p.m. before dinner and again from 6:30-7:00 p.m. before G.O.Kids. CHURCH THRIFT SHOP The Thrift Shop, which is run by the Women s Fellowship, will be open Thursday, December 15 th, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monies raised are used to fund various projects for the church and missions. Donations are always welcome and they accept almost everything, asking only that it be clean and in working order. Please drop off on Wednesday, December 14 th, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. or you may contact Monica Sproull (623) or Millie Ezell (623) to schedule another time. They request items not be left outside the doors and not left in the office.

10 GOOD TIMES FELLOWSHIP The Good Times Fellowship is planning another dinner/show at the Arizona Broadway Theatre, Friday, February 10 th. The musical is Singing in the Rain. Tickets are $59.50 each and include show, dinner, tea/coffee, tax and gratuity. Make checks out to The Church at Litchfield Park and note on the memo line, dinner/show. Payment is due by January 9 th. Sign-ups in the breezeway. Please indicate if you wish to sit with someone. We have 50 reserved seats, so don t miss out on a special evening of marvelous fellowship. Please contact Mary Meese for further information at (623) WOMEN S FELLOWSHIP Circle 2 will hold an annual Christmas party and ornament exchange on Tuesday, December 13 th, at 6:00 p.m. at the home of Nancy Hoskins, 910 E. Campina Lane, Litchfield Park. Please bring a Christmas ornament, if you wish to participate in the ornament exchange, as well as your wrapped gifts for the adopted Christmas family, if participating. RSVP to either Jane Sparks, (623) or Nancy Hoskins, (623) THE CHURCH AT LITCHFIELD PARK FELLOWSHIP STORE The Fellowship store is open for business on Sundays with articles of clothing NEW for cooler weather: lap blankets, sweatshirts and crew neck long sleeved shirts for adults and children sizes. Also there are golf shirts for men, women, and children plus designer scoop neck tops for ladies, all in a variety of styles and colors. Additionally, lunch coolers, tote bags and other items are available; all with the church logo. Check it out in the breezeway and place an order. INFORMATION BOOTH Volunteers will be greeting you at the information booth in the breezeway and in front of the church during the month of December. Please drop by the booth for information, including visitor brochures, campus maps, CLP window decals and current newsletters. 11 The 4C (Children s Community Christian Choir) is really two choirs in one. V.I.P. (Voices In Praise), 4 8 th grade meets on Wednesday from 5:00-6:00 p.m. in the Fireside Room. Joyful Noise, K - 3 rd grade, meets on Wednesday evening in the Fireside Room from 6:30 7:00 p.m. Lots of great plans are in the works, including a performance at Glendale Glitters and a trip to perform at..disneyland! So don t be left out! For information on how to join, contact Sue Kujawski at sleek1212@cox.net or just come to rehearsal. Remember, membership in 4C is open to all, whether or not you belong to the church, we are a community Christian choir. See you Wednesday! SOMETHING S BREWING SUNDAY It is Something s Brewing Sunday today! That means that we have a very special guest with us representing the Open Arms Home for Children in South Africa. Please come to the breezeway after the service to greet Bob Solis, Founder of Open Arms, one of The Church at Litchfield Park s missions. Bob will be happy to share information about Open Arms, and many stories about the special children who have become members of the Open Arm s family. Hot coffee, tea, orange juice and delicious homemade cookies will be served.
