BENEDICTION POSTLUDE He Leadeth Me Bradbury MARK 10:46-52 (NIV) Then they came to Jericho. As Jesus and his disciples, together with a large crowd, were leaving the city, a blind man, Bartimaeus (which means son of Timaeus ), was sitting by the roadside begging. When he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to shout, Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me! Many rebuked him and told him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more, Son of David, have mercy on me! Jesus stopped and said, Call him. So they called to the blind man, Cheer up! On your feet! He s calling you. Throwing his cloak aside, he jumped to his feet and came to Jesus. What do you want me to do for you? Jesus asked him. The blind man said, Rabbi, I want to see. Go, said Jesus, your faith has healed you. Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus along the road. 8 The theme for this year s stewardship campaign is based on Did you know? Our planning for this year revealed that many of us do not realize all of the activities and services provided by the church that your money is being used for. Also, how efficiently the money is being utilized to support these activities as administered by the board and pastors. In the next few weeks you will be seeing Did you know information identifying many of these activities to help you plan your giving in support of the 2019 budget cycle. ADULT BIBLE STUDY Bible study continues Tuesday, October 30, at 10:00 a.m. in Souers Hall. We will NOT be meeting on Wednesday, October 31 because of Hallopalooza. This week we will be studying Mark 15:16-39; Acts 13:14-52 and Acts 14:1-22, while we explore the location of Pisidian Antioch in Turkey where Paul preached. As always, it would be helpful to bring a Bible and something to write with if you are able to. Please note that on Tuesday, November 6, Bible study will meet in the Sanctuary at 10:00 a.m. because of the election, and on Wednesday, November 7, at 6:30 p.m. we will meet in Souers Hall. SUNDAY SCHOOL OPPORTUNITY We are in need of some help for our Sunday School classrooms (K-2 nd graders; 3 rd -5 th graders) during both the 9:15 and 10:45 a.m. services. Pastor Kerri delivers the message to begin each class. Then, teachers discuss and apply the lesson with the children using the activities that are set up and ready to go. There are youth to assist teachers as well. It is minimal work and maximum blessing! Please consider this imperative ministry to our children. If you would like to help, please contact Pastor Kerri. WEDNESDAY NIGHT EVENTS All regular Wednesday Night activities will resume on Wednesday, November 7. We hope to see you at Hallopalooza! 8
