These beautiful lights will line the communion rail in the sanctuary and the Connexion worship area on the Sunday before Christmas and at the Christmas Eve services. Those remembered and honored will be listed in a special bulletin insert for these services. A donation of $5.00 for each luminary will benefit our Youth Ministry and their Toy Shop Mission Project. If you are interested in purchasing one or more of the luminaries you can fill out the form inserted in Sunday s bulletin or come by the church office. The luminaries need to be purchased no later than Sunday, December 14th. To: Jim Matthews Ken Graham David dowell Scott Berning Earl Weisner Jerry Bailey Anthony Scott These men put up the Nativity in the cold. Below is a letter we received from Christians Concerned: Dear Friends in Christ, This is the season of the year when we are thankful for the many blessings that we have received. We at Christians Concerned want to thank you for your support through donations of food and other items to our food pantry. It is caring Christians like your church family who make lives better for families in need in our community. Thank you for your generous support throughout the year. Sincerely, Penny Gardner Executive Director and Board Members Christians Concerned The Giving Tree Each year during Advent we choose 4 different charities for our congregation to bring gifts or donate money through our Giving Tree in the Narthex. We realize that there are so many worthwhile opportunities to give to during this time of year, and no one can be expected to donate to every organization! We just ask that you choose 1 or 2 of these opportunities we are offering and give as generously as you can! Thank you for helping us spread Christ s love and care for His people at this special time of year! December 7 Food For Kids Children will rattle the buckets during worship. If you wish to reserve a Sunday around a special date, don t wait to call the church office as special times fill up quickly. We use Bob s Flowers for the arrangements because Patty Messersmith is the owner and she is familiar with the size of arrangements needed in the sanctuary. Another big plus is they have a key to open the building to bring the flowers on Saturday. That way no one else has to be available to open up. The minimum cost for the flower arrangements begin at $ Any amount above that would be your choice. You call Patty with the specifics regarding your wishes, she makes a beautiful arrangement and the bill is sent to you, not the church. Patty is very easy to work with and tries to please everyone. Please call Verna in the church office if you have questions.
