2 A word from the President What a great month we had. We finally got a few days of decent weather to ride. We had some great opportunities this past month to grow as CMA and as Christians. The first opportunity was the Seasons of Refreshing in Denham Springs. We had a great time of fellowship, renewing, and growth as we spent time with other CMA folks. What great, spiritfilled messages John Jr. shared with us. Then James set us up with a visit at the VA in Pineville which turned out great (see the Road Captain s Report for more details). Sunday, March 4 th was CMA National Day of Prayer. Jean and I wore our Colors to church and shared with them the CMA mission for the day. We prayed with the church just before we left to meet the rest of the chapter at the park for a picnic and then on to our prayer ride. I have so many opportunities to share what God is doing in both my life and the chapter. I want to encourage you to pray for God to give you those opportunities and then be ready to share when He does. As the weather begins to get warmer and we will be spending a lot more time on the bike. I want to remind you to always think safety and start your ride with a prayer for God s hand of protection and His anointing as you ride. Oh, and always Wear Your Colors!! It s All About JESUS! David Smith, President Chaplain s Corner Comfort My People Isaiah 40:1 Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God. If we didn t need comfort God would not have said those words to Isaiah. It is our duty to comfort one another and even those we meet on a daily, weekly or even a yearly basis. People everywhere need to know that there is a comforter who will help them daily through the struggles of life. Jesus promised a comforter in John 14:18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. In the book of Acts God performed the most amazing miracle ever know to man. He sent His Spirit; John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. If you read on Acts chapters 1 & 2 are filled with joyful news of God sending His Comforter for all the world that will receive this great promise that will deliver us from hell. Let s comfort one another today with God s Word. It s all about Jesus! Norma Sharp, Chaplain Victory Riders meet the 2 nd Monday of every month at Rick s Pizza on Oak Street in downtown Jena. Come early, (around 6) to eat and fellowship and we will begin the meeting at 7:00 P.M.

3 Road Captain Report Greetings from your Road Captain. On a rainy Saturday, February 18, H.O. and Paula, Bill and Norma, Dennis, David and Jean, and James and Rita visited the veterans at the V.A. nursing home in Pineville. We passed out valentines and candy, and visited with the veterans. We expressed our gratitude to the veterans for the service they gave to us and our country. We also enjoyed the bird aviary located on each floor. We received a great blessing while visiting there. Afterwards we enjoyed lunch at Cabrini cafeteria. After lunch, we visited Jimbo s father in Cabrini Hospital and had prayer with him. We have a ride scheduled for April 21 to Bunkie for lunch at Rocky s Restaurant. I asked the Crowley Chapter, the Lighthouse Crusaders to join us. I received a response from the Road Captain who said they are looking forward to meeting us on that day. Bikes and Burger night was enjoyed by all who attended on Monday, February 20. Food and fellowship was enjoyed by all at Mitch s in Jena. Motorcycle tips for safety: Keeping you bike s maintenance is important. Make sure engine is cool before performing maintenance on engine, as a hot engine can cause serious burns. Have adequate ventilation due to carbon monoxide if working on a running engine. Bike should be on level ground with stand well-secured. Periodic maintenance on tire pressure, fluid levels, lights, nuts and bolts is important. Also, keep spare fuses with you, and replace what is needed. Tighten nuts and bolts as needed. Galatians 6:2---- Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. It s all about Jesus. James Dedman, Road Captain March Holidays March 14 National Potato Chip Day - Potato chips were first made by Chef George Crum in Saratoga Springs, NY on August 24, 1853 and Americans have been in love with them ever since. March 15 - Dumbstruck Day - Dumbstruck Day is a day to be totally dumbstruck over the things you see, hear and read. You may easily be dumbstruck to read that someone created this special day. Some people are dumbstruck on a regular basis, day in and day out. The events in their lives and the world around them are overwhelming. Hopefully, that's not you. March 17 - Saint Patrick's Day is in honor of the Patron Saint of Ireland, who brought Christianity to the Emerald Isles. It is truly a day of celebrating Irish history, ancestry, traditions and customs. March 20 - Extraterrestrial Abductions Day - Keep one eye on the sky. And, be ready to duck, dodge, and to hide. UFO's may be everywhere, looking to abduct humans. If you are not careful, perhaps they will find you! My research did not find the creator, or the origin of this day, but from what I have gathered, I believe the creator has been abducted. The suspects are believed to have fled the area in a very high speed vehicle. March 30 - I Am in Control Day Really?

4 February was heart month. I can t believe I missed that, but Rita reminded me and sent me the following information that I want to pass along. In certain heart conditions such as coronary artery disease and/or heart attack, women do not always have the same symptoms, such as chest pain which is considered classic in men. Some symptoms may include: dizziness, extreme nausea, clammy skin, extreme fatigue, pain may be in neck, shoulders, arms, chest, or jaw. Any of these symptoms, male or female, should not be ignored, seek medical help. PLEASE bring the list of your CMA activities to the chapter meeting, or call, e- mail or text me it to me. This includes, rides, rallies, hospital visits, witnessing or prayer opportunities. You don t need to include details, just the month and type of event. I must report these on my quarterly report. I try very hard to remember who all is present at things I attend, but I also need to report your individual activities. A soldier, when his enemy is near, doesn t pick up his shield and leave his helmet on the shelf! He takes up his entire suit when he goes to battle. So must we as Christians be strong in the Lord as we don the entire suit available to us. He has provided for us a defense against the schemes of the devil and temptation to sin, and has given us strength in our weakness, enabling us to live as warriors for the faith instead of casualties. It is easy to intellectually hold that Christ s power is greater than our temptation and struggle, but it s another matter entirely to functionally live out that truth. Put feet to your faith then, as you gear up and put on the whole armor of God. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. Jesus is the mighty victor who has routed all of evil s hosts, conquering death, the power of sin, and the devil himself. As Christians, it is that conquering power dwelling within us (Ephesians 3:16; 2 Timothy 1:7), and that inward dwelling should bear heavily on our outward living. Jesus prayer for us was to be in the world, amidst danger, but shielded and protected from its source (John 17:15) living victorious over temptation. Too often we find ourselves buried in the same habitual sin, with real victory seemingly miles away. The early Church faced the same issues, and just
