Come early, (around 6) to eat and fellowship and we will begin the meeting at 7:00 P.M.

A word ffrom tthe Presiidentt Well, October proved to be a great month. Jean and I were able to spend a few days at Hatfield working at the CMA Headquarters. We spent two mornings helping stock the Goodie Store. We hung vests, sorted rain gear, and stocked shelves with tee shirts. We also had the opportunity to spend some time at the support center where we sorted, counted, and packaged rag tracks. We were then privileged the following week to head back to The Mountain (CMA Campground and Event Center) for the Changing of the Colors Rally. The rally this year was without a doubt the best we have ever attended. The services were filled with some of the best praise and worship, most of it led by Jerry Williams, and preaching that was simply moving. The Word was both blessed by God and from the heart. If you didn t have the opportunity to attend this year you need to make plans now to attend next year. As the Holidays approach there will be many opportunities for our chapter to share God s Love with those around us. We will have our Thanksgiving food drive for the Senior Citizen s Center on Saturday the 14 th. Mark your calendar and help support our seniors through this activity. Not only do we help the center provide meals but it is a great opportunity to be seen in the community. Check the calendar of events and mark your calendar so you can be a part of what God is doing through our chapter and of course Wear Your Colors!!! It s All About JESUS! David Smith, President Chaplain s Corner Matthew 23:7 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity." Matthew 7:23 has been on my mind this past week for some reason. But the one part of this verse is what sticks in my little pea brain. The full verse reads

23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity." Have you ever really looked at the last part of that verse? You and Jesus, face to face, and He tells you "I don't know who you are. Leave, because you were never really true to me or faithful to me". You look up at Jesus and think "How can you be saying this to me? I gave more than my 10% in tithes, I volunteered at the church all the time, I was always willing to help anyone. How can you say this to me Lord?" You can do all these things, but Jesus wants you to be truly saved. He wants you to give your heart, your soul, everything to Him! A genuinely saved person is one that will do anything for God. In 7:21 Jesus says " but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven." Your work you do on earth may satisfy your own self, but does it satisfy God? Do God's will and not your own and the end reward will be far greater than anything you could ever imagine! It s all about JESUS! Mike Boyd, Chaplain Road Captain Report What a great time we had at Colors Rally last week; such Christian love and fellowship and great worship services. On October 3, eight members attended the fly-in at Buhlow Lake, where we had a "big" breakfast and fellowship. Some went on to Loewer Power Sports to celebrate their becoming an Indian dealership where they assisted in giving out refreshments. On the 5th, nine members visited with residents of Haven Nursing Home in Columbia and had a sing-a-long with the residents. We were blessed to be with them and enjoyed it very much. Afterwards we had supper at Sonic in Columbia. Bikes and Burgers on the 19th was at Sonic in Jena. Seven members were present and we had good discussions. Seven members attended CMA s Changing of the Colors Rally on Iron Mountain near Hatfield, AR October Bible study on October 26 had nine members in attendance. Now that the weather is cooler, I hope to have some rides soon. SAFETY TIP: Successful accident avoidance often boils down to split-second reaction times, and every little bit counts when it comes to keeping both wheels on the road. The easiest way to maximize your reaction time is to create distance between your bike and obstacles around you. Make a point of creating a safety buffer around your motorcycle, and you'll be far less likely to come into unwanted contact with another object. James Dedman, Road Captain

November Holidays Peanut Butter Lovers Month what can I say, eat some peanut butter, maybe with some jelly! Week 3 Game and Puzzle Week well, play some games and do some puzzles! King Tut Day November 4, celebrates the date of the discovery of King Tutankhamen's Tomb. Over 3,000 years ago, King Tutankhamen became the King of Egypt at the age of 9. He died at the age of 19. He is commonly called "King Tut". The tomb of Egypt's "child king" was discovered on November 4, The tomb was discovered nearly intact in Egypt's Valley of Kings. King Tut's rule lasted a short nine years, from 1333 B.C. to 1324 B.C. The cause of his death is uncertain. Murder and an innocent accident are the two main theories. Veterans Day November 11 - Veterans Day honors all members of the Armed Forces who served this country valiantly, and in a very big way. They served and fought to protect us, to keep our country safe, and to preserve our way of life. Veterans gave their time, and risked their lives for you and me. In some cases, they made the ultimate sacrifice. This holiday originally was called Armistice Day and was first celebrated in In 1954, President Eisenhower changed it to Veterans Day (no apostrophe), in honor of those who served and died from all wars. Thanksgiving Day November 26 - Tucked between the two monster sized holidays of Halloween and Christmas, Thanksgiving receives far less attention. But Thanksgiving is a very important holiday, especially in the busy lives of Americans. It is a time to kick back and relax, watch a football game or go to a movie, and enjoy a huge feast. It's also time for us to give thanks to our God, for the things he has bestowed upon us and upon this great nation. There is no nation in the world that has more to be thankful for than us. The first Thanksgiving was celebrated between the Pilgrims and the Indians in That first feast was a three day affair. Life for the early settlers was difficult. The fall harvest was time for celebration. It was also a time of prayer, thanking God for a good crop. After the first Thanksgiving, the observance was sporadic and almost forgotten until the early 1800's. It was usually celebrated in late September or October. In 1941, Congress made it a national holiday and set the date as the fourth Thursday in November. Happy Thanksgiving

Wyndell & Virginia Peoples November 4 Jean Smith - November 6 David Smith November 24 Don t forget Bible Study on the fourth Monday of each month at 6:00 PM at Midway Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. Bring your Bible and a desire to grow in the Word. (Also bring something good to eat and share!) November Bible study will be a continuation of the Why I Believe series. We just began Why I Believe in Creation and will continue that video at our November 23 rd study. Don t miss it!

Upcoming EvEnts December 5 December 7 December 12 December 14 December 21 December 25 December 28 Fly-in Breakfast Ride Bikes & Burgers Chapter Christmas Party Chapter Meeting Bikes & Burgers Christmas Bible Study Volunteer time at Iron Mountain and the Support Center. One of the few places where work almost doesn t seem like work! Getting ready for Colors Rally. Adding gravel And smoothing out the sides of some of the motorcycle roads on the mountain. Sorting and packaging rag tracts at the Support Center.

Changing of the Colors Rally Report If you read David s article on the second page, you know his feelings about this year s Changing of the Colors Rally. All I can say is Amen!!! Every service I thought Can this get any better? and it did! I have always thought that all of our National Evangelists were good preachers, but this year it just seemed that they had a special anointing. Their messages were obviously from their hearts and spot-on what I needed to hear. And it wasn t just me, because everyone on the mountain was talking about it. David and I spoke with Angie Herman, Vice President of Support Center Operations, in the Goodie Store one evening and she and I were both tearing up as we described the way the Holy Spirit could be felt all over the mountain. Yes, we had fun; we did some riding, eating and fellowshipping, but the NUMBER ONE topic of conversation was the feeling of something special happening on Iron Mountain. I may be willing to endure the June temperatures to attend the National Rally on Iron Mountain next summer, cause I don t think I can wait for next October and the Changing of the Colors!
