Look on the needs of the saints as your own; be generous in offering hospitality. Bless your persecutors, bless and do not curse them. Romans 12:6-14 what a great message from Saint Paul for knights and especially Grand Knights! Even so, right outside in our Home Gardens, our forebears have left us a reminder the health of our Catholic fraternal organization rests on the compass of virtue. The compass of virtue always points to Charity. As we stay true to this course, our council will thrive. With your help and God s grace, may our council enjoy a happy, exciting and fulfilling fraternal year. Your generosity, whether it was financially, or your time or your opinion (pro or con) were all invaluable to making the past two years very blessed for the council in so many ways. Please, as I will, continue to lend your support. I am sure our new Grand Knight and his officers, of which I am proudly serving as a trustee, will appreciate all the help he can get to make this council the best it can possibly be. Joe Jones, PGK SJW # Golf Outing We held our 20 th Annual Golf Outing on Monday 6/25/2018 at Bensalem Country Club. Although the number of golfers was down this year, we still had a great time and the weather was great. A special thank you to all the volunteers and sponsors. A list of sponsors is published here in the Vessel. Let us show our appreciation and give back and support them with visits or use of services whenever possible. Please thank them for their sponsorship support if you do so. We have some golf shirts left over and are willing to offer them up for purchase by the members. Cost will be $25.00 per shirt. If you wish to purchase a shirt, please contact John Harrigan at quality921@aol.com. We mainly have large and x-large shirts available. Council Picnic This year s council picnic will be held on Saturday 9/22/2018 from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm on the grounds of St Francis Cabrini. All are welcome! $10.00 per person; $25.00 up to Family of 4 with $5.00 additional over 4 family members. Food/Drinks/Games and stuff for the kids as well!
