1 PHONE: (972) Andrew "Andy" Lee Summers December 9, May 17, 2018 Andrew Andy Lee Summers of Allen, Texas passed away May 17, 2018, at the age of 47. He was born December 9, 1970 to Roger Lee Summers and Adeline Claire (Leonard) Summers in Houston, Texas. Andy grew up in Thibodaux, Louisiana where he graduated from Thibodaux High School in He earned his bachelors degree from the University of Arkansas a Monticello where he played offensive tackle for the Boll Weevils football team. Andy continued his education at the University of Southern Mississippi where he earned his MBA. He married Mary Helen Huye on October 14, 2000 in Conroe, Texas Andy was the CEO of Ophthalmology Surgery Center of Dallas and previously worked in healthcare finance around the DFW area. His hobbies included fishing, cooking out, baseball and football. Andy s greatest enjoyment was coaching his son s baseball teams, spoiling his daughter and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Mary Summers of Allen, Texas; children, Drew Summers and Anna Summers; mother, Adeline Summers of Thibodaux, Louisiana; sister, Martha Summers of Cypress, Texas; several nieces and nephews; in-laws; and a host of other loving family and friends. Andy was preceded in death by his father, Roger Summers and sister, Monica Summers. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, May 21, 2018 at St. Jude Catholic Church in Allen, Texas. A private interment will be held at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Sunday evening from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas. Memorial donations may be made to Carson's Crusaders Foundation or Spencer Squire Charities. Memorials

2 Oh My! What to say? I(we) were so broken hearted when we heard about the homegoing of our friend our classmate. We the Clark family (Tony Andrea Corey Allison and the girls) have your family in our thoughts and prayers. We loved him too. Our girls got to know him cause he bombed us every Mardi Gras for Opheus and Chronus for years. The girls felt so special. They are 19, 18 and 13 now and still looked for him as did us. THE SEYMOUR FAMILY, MAY 21, 2018 Dear Summers Family, My name is Jennifer Martin and I worked with Andy as the Pre-Op/PACU manager for OSCD. Andy was so much more than my boss - he was like a big brother to me! Oh how we went round and around about everything under the sun! Whatever I dished out he took and vice versa! He was patient with me, encouraged me and he was my biggest advocate when I needed one with all the workplace drama that went on. He made us laugh every day and his personality was bigger than life! The best part of that day was when he made his rounds to check in and say hello to everyone. He knew every staff member by name and he also knew something special about each one. Andy was genuine and kind and he was loved by everyone at OSCD. I will personally miss him at our daily huddles. They were my favorite part of the day because we got to sit in his office and talk shop but not without Andyisms and antidotes thrown in for good measure! He always had a funny story or a silly joke and he was hard to keep focused most days...and that s what made our huddle time the best part of my day! We always left his office with smiles and confidence about the future of OSCD. Andy was our biggest cheerleader. He is irreplaceable and unforgettable. No one will ever take his place in our hearts. He will be missed by so many. I am so grateful to have know him.
