LOUIS REVIEW Your January envelope packet includes an envelope for your subscription to the St. Louis Review Catholic newspaper. We ask everyone to return your envelope with your donation ($30 suggested) or NO written on the envelope. This must be renewed or denied yearly CONTRIBUTION STATEMENTS All parishioners will receive their 2017 contribution statement by Jan. 31, It will include all donations made on or before December 31, 2017 No one has seen God, The only son, Jesus who is at the Father s side Has revealed Him. (John 1:18) Eggnog and tinsel hardly seem worthy of a day so monumental. God knows we have no gift worthy of a king. God loves us regardless, unconditionally, eternally. He gives us grace, truth, love, mercy revealed in human flesh. Our God is an awesome God. Mary DeTurris Poust Our gifts are Christmas baskets to 55 families, toys to 162 children, and food to 303 individuals. For the first time ever (over 40 years) each of the 280 ornaments were taken from the Giving Trees. This is truly amazing! So, in addition to Fr. Gray s persistent reminders, the endless phone calls to and from the parish staff, we want to thank everyone in the parish for the wonderful gifts of toys and food and prayers. Special thanks to Agnes Faron and the Kevin Faron family for their generous donation of 38 turkeys and 7 turkey breasts. Also, our thanks to Dierberg Markets for their contribution to this effort. Also, an anonymous donors gave a truckload of food, 55 boxes of mashed potatoes, 4 turkeys, additional food, and toilet paper. Also thanks to the Girl Scouts who donated $ from their Festival of Giving, the Knights of Columbus for their generous donation, Lighthouse for the Blind for their donation of food and toys. And finally, to the Boy Scouts who donated their time on a snowy Saturday morning to help us. They lugged big bags of toys from the church hall to the school cafeteria and then helped many families carry their bags of toys and boxes of food to their cars. We couldn t do this without you, our faithful parishioners who gave, and gave, and gave. There were so many extra donations! Our God is an awesome God! ~ Joy to the World!
