3 BOARD OF TRUSTEES MAY TRUSTEE: If you notice something that should be taken care of by the trustees in May, please contact Mark Myers at ADOPT A FLOWER BED: The Trustees are asking for your time and labor to help weed the flower beds around the Church property. Zones have been identified in order to create smaller, easy to maintain areas. Mulch, Preen and other weed sprays will be applied by the Trustees. If would be able to adopt a flower bed a signup sheet is on the bulletin board next to the water fountain at the rear parking lot exit. MOWING: The trustees are looking for volunteers to mow the grass at the church. (This saves money by not hiring a lawn service.) A signup sheet is posted on the bulletin board where the Adopt a Flower Bed signup sheet is located. Or see Mark Myers. The Auscultation Brass is a group of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Doctors who in 1985 decided it would be fun to practice their brass instruments in addition to medicine. While developing a large repertoire of classical and popular music they have performed widely at various community functions including medical events, retirement communities, and local churches. They even played outside of Carnegie Hall! Once they began to perform publicly they needed a name. After much consideration they chose the Auscultation Brass. For those not medical, auscultation is the physical skill that physicians use to listen to your body, usually with a stethoscope. For a change, the patients get to listen to their Doctors! A freewill offering will be taken. Light refreshments will be provided at the end of the concert. If you like, wear purple to honor those with Alzheimer s.
