3 We welcome Brinton Rutherford to our service this morning. He currently works as a resource staff person for Lancaster Mennonite Conference of Mennonite Church USA and also teaches theology and church history at the Lancaster campus of Eastern Mennonite Seminary, Eastern Mennonite University, and at Messiah College. With his wife and two daughters, they live in Willow Street and attend Willow Street Mennonite Church. Youth Events: January 18 Bible Study, 7 PM, Schoolhouse January 28 Game/Movie Night COMMISSIONING Today we are commissioning Marlin Martin as Outreach Projects Team Coordinator. Donovan Zimmerman has been serving in this role. Donovan will be continuing as the Outreach Ministry Team leader. TEACHERS SEMINAR JANUARY 29, 2012 Erisman Mennonite Church, 6:00 8:00 PM Refreshments will be served. We encourage teachers to attend this event; Bible school teachers, children's worship leaders, Sunday School teachers and any interested persons to participate. 5 MISSIONARY UPDATES Updated newsletters from Michelle Mellinger, Kevin & Kristin Bucher and Garry & Ruth Denlinger are available on the Welcome Center Table. CONNECTIONS Anyone desiring a copy of the hand out, Creating a Budget, may contact Jim Hershey or ask Jane in the church office. This will be used at the next Connections on February 12. Thank God for Brinton Rutherford s work with the conference office and that He can share a message from God s Word with us today. Pray for our intentional interim work that will be accomplished during the joint Sunday school class next week. Pray for Nate Snyder who will be having outpatient back surgery Wednesday, January 18 th. Pray for Mike King as he prepares to lead the upcoming Men s Retreat. Pray that God will help Youth and Young Adults to find meaningful relationships with Jesus Christ. Continue to pray for those with ongoing physical, emotional, spiritual, or financial needs.
