PASTOR S PRAYER PARTNERS gather in the chapel on Sunday mornings at 9:00 a.m. to pray for the church as it worships and to pray for the pastor and the work of the ministry on a regular basis. GROCERY CARDS: The Koinonia Class would like to thank all those who faithfully buy grocery cards. If you buy groceries, you too can participate in this fundraiser that helps various organizations throughout Mount Joy as well as our church. Thank you very much for your continued support. Stop by the FROG Café before or after the service each Sunday to purchase your cards. NEW LIFE FOR GIRLS: At the present time we are not accepting any USED CLOTHING, FURNITURE, BOOKS, HOUSEHOLD ITEMS, etc. for New Life for Girls. We will continue to collect personal items such as deodorants, Kleenex, toilet paper, toothpaste, etc. Thank you! Please contact Kathy Binkley with any questions CHILDREN S PLAYGROUP: A reminder and for our guests the Children s Playgroup is for children 3 years old up to and including Kindergarten. They are dismissed after the Children s Message HERSHEY PARK/GIANT CENTER WORK If you find yourself limited in what you can contribute to the church in your offering, consider working at a Hershey Event. The hourly wages or proceeds are given as a charitable contribution to our church, which will be deposited into the ELEVATOR FUND. Vouchers for Hershey Park are also given as an incentive to the workers who help. See or call Marsha Gallo ( ) for event schedule and to sign up. MEN S SUMMER PICNIC SAVE THE DATE AUGUST 5! The Men s annual picnic at Wayne and Deb Kennedy s home is scheduled for Sunday, August 5. All men young and young at heart are invited. PRAYER REQUESTS: If you have any prayer requests, please fill out the Prayer Request sheets placed in the registration pad folders and place it in the Prayer Request box on the table in the narthex or give to Pastor Tim. Extra sheets are available beside the box. FOOD BANK SUNDAY Today is Food Bank Sunday. Please place your non-perishable food donations in the cart in the narthex. If you wish to give a monetary donation to Mount Joy Helping Services for the Food Bank, please make checks payable to Glossbrenner U M Church and place in the offering plate. All monetary donations will be used to purchase food. Thank you for your continued support. SUMMER MUSIC Thank you, Dave Hart, for sharing your music ministry with us today. If anyone would like to share their music ministry with us (sing, play an instrument, etc.) while the choir is taking a break, the following Sundays are available: July 15, August 12, 26, and September 2. Please see Martin Hinkley and/or sign the Summer Music signup sheet located on the bulletin board in the Sunday school hallway. BARNSTORMERS BALL GAME Today s the day! The Lancaster Barnstormers play the New Britain Bees. The game starts at 1:00 p.m.; doors open at 12:00 noon.

GRETNA BIBLE FESTIVAL 2018 This evening at 7:00 p.m. at the Tabernacle Michael Faircloth, touring pianist with the National Christian Choir, and as heard on WDAC, returns with selections from his best-selling CD s. A free will offering will be received. For a schedule of events to be held this summer, please pick up a brochure located on the mailbox counter. JOYFUL NOISE The children will gather coins next Sunday, July 15, during the time of the offering for their Joyful Noise service project. The money collected this year will be donated to Ronald McDonald House. VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL VBS will be here before you know it! August 6 th to 10 th here at Glossbrenner! GARDEN SURPLUS If you have extra produce from your garden and would like to share/swap with others from Glossbrenner, please place them on the table by the back door (at the awning). Thanks! AUGUST WORSHIP SERVANTS The August Worship Servant schedule on page 8 of the July- August Herald is completely wrong! After copying and pasting the August schedule from last year, I overlooked changing everything even the dates! My apologies. A new, corrected schedule has been placed in the mailboxes of those who are scheduled to serve in August. Jackie Roberts CARING HANDS & HEARTS BACKPACKS TO SCHOOL: Rainbows End Youth Services (REYS) is hosting their annual Backpacks to School drive. Their goal is to help children and families in the local area that may need support with an age-appropriate backpack filled with school supplies at no cost to them. Last year, because of the generous contributions by individuals, churches, and groups within the community, REYS was able to provide 620 students with backpacks. Caring Hands & Hearts is asking the members and friends of Glossbrenner to help in our efforts to support the children and youth of our community. There will be a box in the narthex to collect specific items through Sunday, July 22. Following are some of the items that are needed: New Back-packs, 3 Inch Binders, Folders, Pencils, Pens, Colored Pencils, Crayons, Markers, Rulers, Composition Notebooks. What is REYS: The Mission. of REYS is to reach local youth in Christian love, to encourage, develop and equip them to experience Godly wholeness and success by praying, sharing Christ, teaching God s Word, and offering supervised activities. If you would like to learn more about REYS, check out their website at SHARING OUR SUCCESS: This program is offered by Park City and Knight and Day Diners to thank patrons for their support. CH&H will receive a donation of 10% of your bill when you show your card with the bar code. Copies of the flyers with the bar code card are on the mailbox counter.
