The stone that the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone. This is the Lord s doing; it is marvelous in our eyes. This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. 2 PRAYER OF CONFESSION I said I will confess my transgressions to the Lord. People: And you forgave the iniquity of my sin. Let us pray: All: Lord, we confess that we have sinned against you and against one another. We are half-hearted disciples, forgoing your good and gracious teaching for our own. Although your ways are higher than our ways, yet we elevate ourselves above one another, and above you. In your mercy, forgive our pride, our foolishness, and our selfishness, and lead us on the path of humility and grace, for the sake of your Son, Jesus Christ. Today s Music: The music theme this morning is the third person of the trinity. Composers have found much inspiration in the often mysterious imagery of the Holy Ghost. Themes of fire, smoke, the unseen presence, and numerological references to the number three can be found in the music written for Pentecost. Children s Worship During the service, Children s Worship continues after Time with Children. Pre-K goes upstairs to Early Children s Worship K-2 nd grades go downstairs to Intermediate Children s Worship 3 rd -5th grades go to the Chapel for Older Children s Worship Children should be collected by their parents immediately after the service. All children are welcome to remain with their families in the service and ageappropriate worship bags are available in the narthex.

Children s Worship Children s Worship (3yrs -5 th grade) never takes a break all year-round. Thank You! Thank you to Esther Wisdom for another year of coordinating our growing Elementary Sunday school. Thank you to Tory Gentry for her impactful leadership of the Youth Group.
