Leader: Let us pray: All: Lord, we confess to you and in the presence of our sisters and brothers that we have sinned, and we are sinners. We sin by what we do, and by what we leave undone. We sin in our thoughts, our words, and our actions. Though you have called us saints, we have not acted as those called and equipped to love. In your mercy, forgive us. Convict us of our sin so that we may come to repentance, and live according to your will. All this we pray with the hope of the children of God. 5 WELCOME Our congregation has been welcoming members and visitors to worship on the Lord s Day since March 16, If you are visiting this morning, we extend a special welcome to you and invite you to introduce yourself to one of the pastors or speak with an usher if you have any questions. Today s Music: The anthem is an arrangement of For all the Saints, a tune composed by Ralph Vaughan Williams in 1906 for a new printing of the English Hymnal. This arrangement was made by legendary American conductor Robert Shaw, who left a lasting impression on choral music in America through his work with choirs and his arrangements. The flowers in the Chancel today are given by Roni Haggart and Chuck Work in honor of their children and grandchildren. The ushers for November are Cristian Lopez, Captain; Nancy Benzing, Gillian Frey, Mildred Grant, Mary Margaret Hart, Shelley Jennings, Matt Lavin, Jennifer Lopez, Deborah McFadden, Nat Semple, Laura Welch, and Marjorie West. Today after the service all are invited to join us in the Georgetown Room for Lunch Bunch, hosted by Jennifer Hillman. Assisted listening devices may be found at the back of the sanctuary. Each device comes with a headset, but you may bring your own from home to plug in. Please let the ushers know if you have any problems. Readings are from the New Revised Standard Version of the Bible unless otherwise indicated. Blue Bibles are located at the end of each pew. Children s Worship During the service, Children s Worship continues after Time with Children. Pre-K goes upstairs to Early Children s Worship K-2 nd grades go downstairs to Intermediate Children s Worship 3 rd -5th grades go to the Chapel for Older Children s Worship YCW children should be collected upstairs by their parents immediately after the service. All children are welcome to remain with their families in the service and age-appropriate worship bags are available in the narthex.
